Jack O’Lantern Liquors

They have an ok selection here… nothing out of the ordinary. The prices are a bit high also but not as high as some other package stores in the area. The guy who stocks the shelves and works the redemption area is a hard worker and very helpful. He says hello and actually responds when you speak to him (more than I can say about some of the other staff). He’s the only one I ever see actually working and he does a good job because the back room is spotless and all of the shelves /​coolers are perfect and refilled constantly. The woman who sits behind the desk up at the front counter holding court with the rest of the staff (why there are so many I have no idea) hardly ever moves from behind the counter to help out. She always seems irritable and is rough around the edges. I’m not sure why but it can’t be because she’s tired since all she does is sit there talking. You’d think with all the talking she does that she could say thank you when she does finally get up to ring in an order but apparently the word isn’t in her vocabulary. Because of her, the poor selection and the vibe inside the store I give this place 1 star and I will shop elsewhere whenever possible. If I had to give stars based on the guy who works the back part of the store… I’d give it 5 stars.

Nice little packie. Fair selection of beers and wine and the prices are fine. Not many options in the area. I’m always happy to pop in here.
