I’ve been a couple of times. Nothing wowed me. I thought the prices were a bit high & the food was just generic tasting. The service is never any good. The person running the counter today, on the phone never acknowledged me. Walked away several times, and atill never acknowledged me. I was going to get a salad but she never looked at me or in my direction. Other patrons looked flustered. Just was chewing gum like a cow which is very unappealing. I walked out. Got a salad elsewhere. I’ll never be back. If that was Mary, of Lazy Marys, shame shame.

Went to Ayer MA for the first time ever today. We ended up getting hungry and pulled into Lazy Mary’s thinking we would grab a bite to eat. From the outside the place looked pretty nice. We got inside and 2 of the employees were loudly arguing over the shifts they were assigned to work over the next week. They didn’t even stop when we were standing there waiting to order. We ordered 2 wraps and the total was close to $ 18, which I thought was quite expensive for 2 sandwiches. I will say the sandwiches were not bad, but nothing I would recommend to anyone. So as we are sitting there eating our sandwiches inside at their tables I see one of the employees outside with a manual line spraying machine trying to mark out the parking spaces with spray paint. It was one of the most windiest days we’ve had in a while, which is not the best weather to be doing that kind of work. To make matters worst, she starts spray painting right next to my car! I immediately ran outside and told her she was going to get paint on my car and moved it. Then we watched this employee spray lines on the pavement for the rest of our meal and laughed out loud because she looked like a completely unqualified person to ever be doing maintenance work. I will never return to this joke of a sandwich shop

I agree with Sam S. The pizza is of a different consistency than the local competitors – LM leads the way in Ayer with steadfast originality. Good pizza if you like the way they make it. And I do.

3 stars is an insult this place is not only friendly but the food is always fresh and very good. The portions are more than enough. I’ve been there a few times and I haven’t been disappointed yet a little pricey but worth the extra dollar. I will continue to go there as my go to place when I’m in the area, i’m from Boston I’ve had some of the best pizza and sandwiches around these people are just as good if not better. And I haven’t even tried the baked goods yet and the salads look super fresh. I may even have them cater my next party I think they’re that good so if you’re on route 110 in Littleton don’t just drive by stop in it’s worth it.

One of my favorite local places to get pizza or subs. Fast and accurate service which is amazing. My favorite is the gobbler wrap, thanksgiving in a wrap! The cannoli’s aren’t bad either

Lazy Mary’s is such a nice break from all the drive-thru and Chinese places nearby. The chicken tenders are our favorite, but we also like their pizza, desserts, and fresh salads. Sometimes we just stop in for some of their giant cookies and glass bottle sodas — or even a pint of Ben n Jerry’s — I love that they can answer to all sorts of cravings! The staff is super friendly and down to earth. I also think it’s a great little place to stop with one or two of my kiddos just for something ‘special’ once in a while, which really sets it apart from some of the more adult places or cheesier kids places.

Ordered take out pizza and the crust tasted like it had been in the fridge too long. Won’t go back.

Lazy Mary’s is the best! They have spectacular desserts, including awesome cannoli, best outside the North End and a great selection of Ben & Jerry’s ice cream.(those are just my favorites). Very friendly folks. I highly recommend it.

We love to get sandwiches from there. They have canolies that they pipe right in front of you. They serve great pizzas, which you can buy by the slice. A small cut sitting area inside and a few more tables outside. It’s a great little place. Much much better than the fast food places right up the street.

I am so surprised Lazy’s has a 2.5 star average! I love this place. The only reason I am holding back a star is because I am not a giant fan of the pizza — it’s not bad, I do enjoy it if it’s in front of me but it’s just not my favorite as far as pizza goes. The crust can be a little hard sometimes but it does have good flavor. Anyway, now on to the positives! I loooove the subs and sandwiches here. I am really picky when it comes to cold cuts but they use Boar’s Head which I am all about. The turkey subs are awesome, and I’ve gotten a Reuben here as well that converted me from being a reuben hater to a lover. Who knew sauerkraut could be so delicious? The veggie wrap is also super tasty. I also love their jalapeño poppers, you can get them with cheddar instead of just cream cheese. They also have a large selection of desserts which are always very tempting. They have a deli where you can order cold cuts, a fridge section with«oh dang I need milk and eggs but don’t feel like running to the grocery store» type items, which is convenient for sure, and a freezer full of Ben and Jerry’s :) Definitely recommend this place and am slightly confused by its current avg rating!

It saddens me that I cannot give more than two stars for the food I recieved. The customer service is beyond excellent. The young girl ally was genuine and sincere, the owner Wendy was pleasant and friendly, the food… was below poor standards. I waited a normal amount of time to receive a well cooked Philly cheese steak and I decided to snack on a m&m cookie which surprisingly was extremely soft and delicious. I was handed my sandwich in a reasonable amount of time and proceeded down the street 250 feet to my house where I went into my house and was extremely disappointed at the lack of heat the steak had. The only thing I could tell was heated was the bread and cheese. Science dictates that there is not a possibly of rapid cooling of a sandwich that fast. The Philly cheese steak wasn’t even warm. The owners care about their shop but it’s the employees which are bringing down, their ratings and for that reason I will drive a further distance from my house to get quality food. Hopefully I can try another day…

Although their food is decent their customer service needs some major upgrades or I should say new owners and management. When a person leaves their wallet filled with money, credit cards and their license and the owner of the company is beyond rude and informs you that their cameras aren’t even turned on. It’s one thing to not know where it is or have not seen it but to be rude and tell you it’s not their issue is another thing. Compassion and good customer service goes far further than a good pizza, lazy marys will never get my business and I will be sure to inform everyone I know how horrible they treat their customers.

I can only speak to their Philly cheese steak, and it was horrid. My stomach hurts after eating this garbage. It tasted(and looked like) something out of a high school cafeteria. The bread, steak, and cheese were extremely low quality, and it was thrown together into a slop of gruel in between two hot dog buns. Worst steak and cheese I’ve ever had, I recommend D’Angelos or Subway over this place… And that’s saying something.

This place is great! This pizza place has a very cozy atmosphere. The menu has a large variety of subs, sandwiches and pizza. I ordered a cheese pizza and everything about it was amazing! My sister ordered the steak and cheese which looked really good with the toasted bun. I recommend this place to everyone!

Too expensive for the quality offered here. Also delivery charges make the price even more unreasonable. Pizza is unreliable. Crust doesn’t taste very good.

The place is tiny, seating for about 10 people(some outside seating too). The veggie wrap made with hummus is pretty good. It’s nice to see a decent selection of pastry. Subs are not bad, one reviewer mentioned they are light on the ingredients and I agree. $ 3.99 for a slice of pizza?, that’s pretty steep. Pizza Bella isn’t too far away, a tad less expensive with a bigger selection of subs/wraps. I do like this place and will return.

Updating my review to one star after ordering here one last time last night(even though I knew better). I paid over $ 25 for a 10 piece jalapeño poppers which were cold, soggy and the breading falling off(we only ate 5 of them), 2 cokes and a grilled chicken Cesar salad which had nothing but white iceberg lettuce, croutons and dried… pre-cooked, small pieces of chicken… nothing else! 25BUCKS! By far the worst place I have eaten since moving to the area. I wouldn’t eat here again if it were free. Oh and the staff is still terrible. Recently moved to Ayer and due to the limited choices in town we have gotten pizza and subs here about three times now. My first impression(bought pizza) was that it was expensive and bland. Something about the sauce or the cheese… it was nothing special. Second impression… we got subs and they were ok but very light on ingredients for the money. The young girl(not the owner) who took the order and ran the cash register was a bit slow and ditzy and was laughing for no apparent reason when I approached the counter. It made me uneasy. Again… not satisifed after eating the food. Third impression…“why did we order from here again?”. Although I was the first one in the store and the girl at the counter said hello and proceeded to help the guy who came in after me(who she apprently knew). A huge no no in my book. Not only that but she screwed up my order and they made the wrong sub. She offered to correct it a few times but I was in a rush and I didn’t feel like waiting. To make matters worse… It seemed even more expensive than usual… probably because I bought a $ 3.00 bottle of Pepsi… ouch. The sub I got by mistake wasn’t half bad but God I hope some place decent opens up soon.

I ordered a turkey sub, she asked what type of bread and I asked for white. Got my sub and it was on sliced white bread. They don’t know what a sub is here, they should work on that. Also, they advertise fresh greens on there sandwiches when its only bland iceburg lettuce.

After working as a manager in a busy pizza kitchen for 4+ years, I was hired here, worked a week, paid under table, then fired. It really was for the better. Also a funny experience. At one point, the woman who owns the place literally chest bumped me in an attempt to get me out of her way. «Oh, my bad,» I said. «You shouldn’t have been in my way,» she says. 15 minutes later, I’m fired!
Drive 10 – 15 minutes in any direction and find yourself a place with real food and fresh ingredients. Lazy Mary’s is not about the food or the customer — it’s about money.
