Fantastic espresso drinks. The balanced flavor was simply delicious. They likely served me the best latte I’ve had the pleasure to drink. The shop had a friendly vibe, wireless was reliable, and the staff knowledgable and courteous. I would have to have loved to stayed for the lunch. It would be great to see them add a lunch and breakfast menu.

Hands down best coffee in the area and a nice atmosphere to boot! I have had a latte and today a mocha, and the way I determine an excellent mocha is by the balance of sweet of sugar and the bitter of chocolate. It should not be sweet with pleasant taste of chocolate but not overpowering.

They are coffee scientists. It’s clear that a lot of thought and care goes into their roasting and brewing processes. Great location in the growing downtown Ayer and just what we needed. The shop is sprawling and squeaky clean with nice high ceilings and lots of seating in the front room.
Try a Vietnamese coffee. I didn’t know what is was prior to visiting Union either!

We love coming here as our pit stop on Nashua Rail Trail. The place is a hidden gem, I wish more of my travels brought me close, their cappuccino is outstanding, on the par with best we’ve had. The proprietors are young and serious coffee aficionados, always up for entertaining conversion. Keep up good work, Jessie and Carrie!

Hands down best iced espresso I’ve ever had. Great comfortable space, local business. The coffee is roasted in-​house & bought directly from farmers. This is my favorite place to get coffee by leaps and bounds.

I thought I had had some pretty great espresso in my life. The espresso from UNION blew previous experiences out of the water.
This is a great coffee shop with friendly owners, a comfortable atmosphere, and exceptional coffee. I only wish I lived closer… though taking home a bag of their fresh roasted beans is almost as good as being there.

We are so lucky to have this coffee shop in our neighborhood! Jesse makes a great cappuccino (an actual one, not a giant Starbucks latte like thing). Carrie is great with names and it seems like she knows every customer. Free wi-​fi also!

As far as coffee shops go, this place is literally perfect. Quiet, welcoming, unpretentious, and most importantly — unbelievably good coffee. The owners are clearly passionate about coffee and are always happy to answer questions or make recommendations. I love that they don’t serve hot breakfast or lunch items, but keep their focus on just serving great drinks. They roast their coffee beans on site, so the freshness can’t be beat. They use lots of local ingredients, which is important to my family and me. They also offer almond milk, a personal deal breaker of mine. Great atmosphere, fair prices, friendly staff. Union Coffee Roaster is like a dream come true for coffee lovers in this area. If you haven’t checked it out by now, get going!
