I cannot imagine a more perfect wedding location. The Orchard has got this wedding stuff down! Every part of our experience from contract to clean-up was exceptional. Heidi is a gem — very responsive and experienced. She made the planning process painless. The grounds are impeccably maintained. There was a hail storm a couple of days before, and you would have thought bad weather has never touched that place. There wasn’t a twig on the ground. I would strongly recommend this venue to anyone — worth every penny.

The venue is great! Everything about the place is great with a few important exceptions. So important I chose a 2 star review. I don’t know if this is employ based or owner so hopefully ownership will view this review and make«repairs» to the problem. On to the cabins. The cabins are nice, bed is comfy, has direct TV etc. Pillows absolutely suck. I assume good king size pillow in queen size case? It was like using a watermelon for a pillow. Luckily I am a poon and brought my own. My neighbor is the one who shelled out the $$$ to cover this event and was called a few days later asking or accusing her of taking 2 of the pillows. These pillows really suck dude. When we arrived at the cabins after the event we noticed that the propane fire pit was missing the bottle of propane so we drove back to the venue to ask where the propane bottle was, we were told that they would bring one to us which never happened.

With majority of our wedding guests coming from out of town, I wanted a venue where we could have the wedding and reception all in one spot rather than asking them to drive. The Orchard was a great choice. It is a beautiful venue with a flexible and accommodating staff. We did not utilize the wedding planner provided by the venue, so our pre-wedding interaction outside of booking the venue was minimal, but DeAndra was very sweet about letting me parade my parents, in-laws, and event planners through when they were in town so they could check it out before the wedding. The Orchard has an outdoor gazebo, a lovely covered patio area where we had cocktail hour(which doubles as a nice plan B for rain!), designated dressing rooms for the bride and groom, and a really nice built-in bar area. I loved the little extras, like the TV screen in the bridal dressing room so that you could watch as your guests were seated outside(I felt like such a creeper but it was so exciting to see everyone come in!). I felt like many places I had looked at try and nickel and dime you, but The Orchard provides a lot of the necessities(tables, chairs, etc) and then gives you the option to bring in your own vendors and caterers instead of requiring you to utilize them. This meant we got to spend our money on the parts of our wedding that we felt were important(good food, Beer!, and good music). The only reason I am not giving The Orchard 5 stars is because the location was a little out of the way. If you don’t mind a little drive from the airport though, The Best Western(which was only 12 miles away) had a free shuttle for wedding guests so they could drink. We also had a block of rooms in Sundance Square for guests wanting a little nicer hotel, and it worked out great. The Orchard ended up being perfect for our wedding. Given the choice, I would pick it all over again.

Beautiful Venue, grass is well kept… green… and cut… which must be a chore when you think about it. lol. The building and setting are very picturesque, very Texas. The reception hall is well suited for up to about 250 people I would say, maybe a little more. The building was great, staff was great, and the event went off without a hitch. All and all a fantastic wedding… in part because of this facility and their attention to details.

such charm! Charm is definitely the best word to describe The Orchard. Went to a wedding a couple weeks ago and I must say that it was a pretty sight – after you pull into a driveway and down a gravel road, you come into a huge green pasture-y area that is a 100-acre pecan farm/orchard. Near the reception hall was where the wedding took place(it was an outdoor wedding). Everything about the wedding on The Orchard’s was so nice and well-done; the property is well-maintained and just so pretty. The reception hall has a manor feel to it, so that it doesn’t take away from the charm and appeal of the pecan orchard itself. The reception hall is a nice big open space that can accomodate from 100 to 400 people(according to their website); there’s a good amount of natural light that comes in and there is also an outdoor patio with a fireplace. In fact, if you go on their website, the pictures they have are actually like how it looks in real life, no joke. I don’t know the accommodations and amenities as far as weddings go, but as far as looks go from a wedding guest’s point of view, The Orchard may want to be a place you’d want to consider if you’re planning a wedding or an event.

I was here for a wedding back in October. it’s just a beautiful venue. I loved the building inside, and the patio outdoor. I think this would be great for an outdoor wedding. The downside is that this place is definitely a far drive away from home, and seems to be in the middle of nowhere. Luckily there were signs when I was approaching the venue pointing out to me where I should be headed. And during the vow ceremony, one of my heels dug into the dirt, so I had a little mud stuck to the heel.

Good: scenery — a beautiful cow/horse ranch is the backdrop from the ceremony and reception area great for creative photos outdoor weddings are very pretty here, both rain and shine Bad: Transportation arrangements(it is very far from both Dallas and Fort Worth) — difficult for out of towners. Very hard to arrange transport for drinkers — large vans can’t get to the reception hall due to a HUGE dip in the road. Food: everything has to be trucked in, there is no kitchen here — not even a microwave. remember — it is very far out, so your food will be traveling quite a ways. 100 people fit comfortably in the reception room — not much more.

This is a beautiful place. I just wish it was closer to Dallas… If you are here for an event and need a hotel… it’s not that close. Keep that in mind if you have people in from afar and especially if you have an open bar. The grounds are well maintained and the building is very picturesque. If I ever got married or needed a place for team building. I’d go here.
