Corkies has and will always be a great establishment. I love the chilaquiles still to this day! I’m so happy to be back in Azusa, able to hit up corkies after a night of drinking! Go to for Mexican food! Lately I’ve been stuck on the FRESH carrot and orange juices. No sweetener added, just request ice. The waitress is the best, she’s been there from day one. It’s family owned so I never given them a hard time when it starts getting busy. Old folks started this place. Bunch of OG’s eating here. I always see this cute older couple having bfast. It’s truly beautiful. Another posted pic of the amazing chilaquiles with Asada.

Great family owned restaurant for breakfast. I had the chilaquiles with carne asada and my friend had sausage and egg breakfast. Both were excellent and very tasty. The server was good and the clientele was cool too. Good place and highly recommend for breakfast or a fat burrito! Oh also you can’t beat the prices here. Best bang for your buck

The food here is good! I love the chicken sandwich grilled. So delicious. But the owner of the restaurant is kind of rude. So be careful.

WHY is this place still open?! My children and I used to frequent every so often… not anymore. They take forever to bring your food and they now don’t offer chips and salsa. If you ask for them, you get stale chips. The food is good… nothing exceptional, it is decent. It also takes forever to get your check and they close way too early. The woman babysitting her children is unacceptable.

This place is very dirty and a mess. Lady is nice but doesn’t matter when you’re eating at a place that is dirty. Also, roach ran across my table.

My wife and I went here for breakfast after dropping off our car at Costco for tires. The Costco service manager recommended it and it was only a 5 minute walk. I am used to trying small«hole in the wall» types of places and occasionally you run across a gem. This is a gem! I can only review the breakfast. I had the chicken fried steak, 3 eggs, thinly sliced potatoes and toast, all for $ 4.99. The portions were pretty decent and the eggs looked/tasted fresh. The kicker here was the gravy used on the chicken fried steak — very good. There were about 4 other tables occupied when we got there, but the service was pretty good. Our soda refills were handled promptly. Yes, you have to walk up to the counter to get/pay your check. No big deal. If you’re driving along Foothill, this place is easy to miss. We’ll definitely be back!

Corky’s is one of my favorite restaurants! The employees that work here are always bright & helpful! The decorations are very cute! I love how it feels like you stepped in your Grandma’s house, its a very warm feeling! Nobody could go wrong with Corky’s chocolate chip cookies! They’re almost the size of your face! These cookies are how your mother would make them, soft and baked with love. A very cute restaurant! MUSTTRY– Philly cheese steak :)

Wow, that was the worst experience I’ve ever had for breakfast. One of my husband’s coworkers told him about this place 3 years ago but we never thought about coming until now. We stopped in for a late breakfast(around 11:00AM). They’re located in an industrial part along W. Foothill Blvd east of the Costco. We sat down and a man with a long curly mustache(curled at the tips.) gave us some sticky menus. Since there were banners for their special breakfast, I decided to go with that and my husband wanted a bowl of menudo. We were seated for a while and no one came to take our order. We almost walked out before, the man with the mustache asked us if we were ready to order and we said«yes». My husband started telling him what we wanted and he said he wasn’t ready and walked away. We sat there for about 3 minutes while he got distracted before he came back with a pad of paper. The food — my husband said even the menudo at La Tolteca(a few blocks away) was better. My breakfast plate came with potatoes, 2 sausage, 2 eggs, toast & jam. If you look at the photo that I posted, then there’s nothing else to say!!! If the photo is not obvious enough then, the country potatoes were totally old, cold, and dry. The sausages were burnt, the toast wasn’t even crunchy. You can tell that they’re saggy! The toast had a frost bite taste so you can tell they’ve been in the freezer. *GAG*. Since we sat around for a while, I noticed a really weird smell(not of food). Like a bathroom kind of smell and of cleaner. Then we had a strong wiff of car fumes coming from outside. I had to hold my breath. There were also flies and small bugs on the inside of the window. There’s a TV hanging in the corner and there were exposed wires that were twisted together. The electrical faceplates were also cracked and dirty. No one came to check on us and my husband had to get up to find someone when we were ready to pay and get the heck out of there. BLAH — seriously don’t waste your time! Even Denny’s would have been a better option! I just went home and ate some fruit instead.

Bad service. They took forever to bring us chips and salsa. The menudo was over cooked and tasted very bad. The prices are good and they do have a A but I seen a roach on the floor. Nasty!

Ok… So the Food is great, great portions and a great value! The staff is nice and attentive most off the time. This runs like a family owned business. The waitresess bring their children into work with them. The children sit watching cartoons at the counter for most of the time, until they start fighting and crying and run around the kitchen then there mommy, your waitress has to attend to them & not you… That would be my only complaint. I have only been here around breakfast hour. So the kids may not be there all day. But if you could put up with the«Family» I would strongly suggest this if your in the area. You can NOT beat the value! Most plates are under $ 6 –7 bucks which is AMAZING for the portions! When I visit I mainly have the mexican food which is spot on and delicious! I also tried the biscuits & gravy which was really good! All in all its a nice little hole in the wall, if you didn’t know it was there you would pass right by it.

The Food: Some of the best Mexican Food I’ve had in a long time. The carnitas, chile verde, carne asada and pollo is all on point. Tacos, buritos(wet or dry) and quesadillas are spot on. My wife likes the fish plates, and is amazed that its as good as what you would get at Redondo or Port O’Call, but for 1⁄3 the price. The Staff/Service: Family ran, they are a bit understaffed, so you might wait longer than expected. I would have given them five stars except for this minor problem. The Vibe: A super duper dive for sure. It looks like a diner from 100 years ago, that was remodeled 30 years ago. It’s a bit too warm for me to dine in, so I carry out. Not sure how they got an A rating with all the boxes of food service products everywhere, or the little kids running around, but hey, that’s there business. As long as the food is good, I don’t care how weird the scene is. The Value: The best prices on Mexican and OG breakfast food around.

Times I’ve been: Twice What I’ve ordered most recently: Hot Louisiana Sausage Breakfast Plate with an English Muffin and a Coffee. I do have to say that I’ve rated this a little higher because of my bias toward this place. I say bias because I discovered this place with a good friend of mine; we always go out searching for local places to get good food. We were roaming around looking where to get lunch one day and he said that he wanted to try this place that he always drives by on his way to work. We walked in and the place looked pretty empty. This mexican guy with an amazing mustache came up to us and sat us. As run-down as it was, there was something endearing about it to me. That first time we ate there, we really enjoyed ourselves; it felt like our spot already. And that is why we have returned, and probably why I rated this four stars instead of three, because honestly, the food is only decent. With that said, on with the review. Atmosphere: The place is nothing out of the ordinary in terms of atmosphere. The walls are full of random things, including a large map of Mexico, and there is always a T.V. on in the background. The owner, or at least whom I assume to be the owner, is quite a character. He wears these tights jeans and random shirts(the last time we went it was a tan button-up with a picture of a large of a cowboy hat on the back). And as I mentioned before, his mustache is quite entertaining. I like the atmosphere because it feels like a really low-key place and homely. Cleanliness: Everything seemed clean enough. Nothing I noticed that was particularly gross or unsanitary. Service: The first time I went we were the only ones in the restaurant and the service was really good(as to be expected when you’re the only one there). We were well taken care of. Refills came quickly and he found just the right balance between checking on us frequently, but not intruding. The second time we went there was more people, and two more waiters there and the service went from great to okay. They checked on us once, besides when they brought out our food and drinks. It seems that they don’t bring the check to your table, but instead you have to go to the front to pay. Food: The second time I had, as I said above, the Hot Louisiana Sausage Plate. It’s two Louisiana sausage links split in half and fried, sliced and fried potatoes, three eggs, and toast. For toast I got the English Muffin. The food was pretty good. The links didn’t taste that fresh, but it wasn’t that big of a deal. The coffee was, well, cheap coffee: not bad, but not great. The food is what you would expect out of a side-of-the-road hole-in-the-wall restaurant. The first time I went I got the beef enchilada and carnitas hard taco plate, which came with rice and beans. The food was better the first time. The good thing about this place is it is pretty cheap. My breakfast was only five dollars and the dinner plate was around $ 6.50. I’ll probably return. For how cheap it is, the food is pretty good. The menu is quite extensive and I’m willing to give a couple of more platters a shot. And as I said before, I kind of feel like it is «my spot» now. My advice to you is if you drive by this place, give it a shot. Maybe you will enjoy it. It won’t cost you much if you don’t. If you’re not from the area, I wouldn’t go out of your way.

It was late in the night and we were cruising by this place. We ordered our food and it arrived on our table. The food was average… The service was OK. Maybe because they were in a hurry to close. I’ll give them another try.

5−22−08 This is a dive/hole-in-the wall great food for the money type place. Jesse N. pretty much says it all. I have driven by this place many times and finally decided if it has been here this long it must be at least ok. It is best described as a diner/hamburger/mexican food place. I had the Grilled Monterey Chicken, which is grilled chicken breast pieces, with sauteed mushrooms covered in red sauce(I asked for green sauce) and melted jack cheese, rice, beans, tortillas for $ 6.99. Pretty good. I will be back to try the some of the many items on the huge menu. The people were nice and the service was quick and good.
