Great home style food, food is always fresh. Best burritos in town. Family owned and the owner is very nice.

Stopped by today for the first time. I got a carne asada burrito and for 4 dollars it was really good. Don’t judge this place by what is looks like. When I first arrived I was a bit skeptical. After tasting their food I was really impressed. I will defiantly be coming back here.

Talk about authentic! This place is a local, family owned, taco shop. Nicest folks and great food. Literally my only qualm is the fact they don’t have chips and salsa. I’ll definitely be back!

Ok, out of the countless Mexican grinds I’ve been to, this by far is the cheapest. You can get a carne Asada burrito for four dollars! If anyone finds one for less please message me! The burrito was pretty standard. I have no complaints, but I’ve had better at places that charge more than double. The soup was a paltry five bucks. It was a gigantic bowl with rice and tortilla sides that would have cost close to ten at any other restaurant. The soup was even better than the burrito! I will come back here for sure after my tutoring sessions. Also the Choco peanuts were tasty and at a buck too. Another satisfied customer

It was my very first time to this hole in the wall place, and I ordered a carne asada burrito. Although it was very tasty it was a little on the spicy side. Didn’t have to wait too long so that’s good. I would without a doubt definitely go back. I love that everything was prepared fresh

I ordered 3 chicken tacos and 2 steak tacos… only took the one cook about 45 minutes to make it. The downside of being a mom and pop shop, no efficiency at all. Everything was made to order but holy shit… it didn’t need to take that long. Won’t be coming here again. The search continues for a decent taco that’s not King taco or Karinas.

I liked the food, especially the hard shell chicken tacos. The burrito was okay just because I prefer my burritos to have refried beans in them not just boiled beans. I’m just giving them *** stars because it took a long time(about 20 – 25 minutes) for my order to be ready and it was not busy in there that night other than one couple who had already ordered when I got there. However, it seemed that the cook/owner(maybe)/ cashier was all the same person. He was all by himself and was doing it all. I kept thinking someone was going to show up from the store or the back, but nope. Also, because the location of this place is really seedy. There is a bar next door which, okay that could be a plus, but this hooker was outside the bar and she was a total hoochie(huge turn off, unless I was already drunk) smoking outside the bar and batting her eyes at everyone she could while smoking a cig. Aside from that when I was waiting for my food I see some ants on the counter where people can usually sit and eat. Yeah, see that is NOBUENO man! Not cool in my book. I hope this place makes it, but I don’t think so unless they clean up the joint and keep up with the great taste of their food. It’ll be hard to do in my opinion. Good luck Ibarra’s.

My wedding was 9÷7÷13 and what I have to say to Ibarra’s Taco’s is simply … Thank you. All around they did an awesome job and exceeded my expectations. Last minute we found out that our gl would be increased and we couldn’t get in touch with our Korean Catering company and like any other stressed out bride I was worried we would run out of food. They literally saved the day. We ordered chicken and asada and it was delicious. They bring EVERYTHING that you need including utensils, plates and salsa bar. When it came to Ibarra’s I didn’t have to worry about a thing. All my guests were surprised to see a taco bar and they were impressed with the quality of the meat and exceptional service. 3 months later I STILL get compliments about the taco bar. I highly recommend them, if your in doubt go check them out! My guests only got to try the chicken and asada but I’ve gone plenty of times during the week and I love their al pastor and carnitas! Again, thank you so much!

I had a bad craving for some tacos. So I searched for«tacos» on Unilocal and Ibarra’s Tacos came up on top. It also helped that Ibarra is my grandparents last name. So I tried it out and I was extremely satisfied! The lady was nice and made the tacos with love. They don’t take ATM/Credit cards though. Luckily I had just enough cash on me to pay for the food and leave a tip. Will be going here again and recommending it to my family and friends.

Apparently this place is ‘Under New Management’ as evidenced by their many signs and banners that they have placed on the storefront and in the parking lot. The location has to hurt their business as it is set so far back from the main street in a dilapidated strip mall. They tore out the main counter that was here before and now they just have a temporary table they use as a desk for the cash register. It looks terribly unprofessional. Another prominent sign of being unprofessional is that the server who took my order and was bringing food to customers had a baby under her arm the whole time I was there. Not only is that completely ghetto looking it is also unsafe for the baby to be around hot food in a prep area. On a positive note, Taco Tuesday is a good time to go here and get some 50 cent tacos of whatever meat you prefer. The tacos were good. Prices went up a little from the last time I was here but their prices are still decent. Also the outside of the place had trash in front of it that looked like it had been there for days. The storefront had graffiti all over it up by the signage. It just looked dirty and unkempt which doesn’t really make someone want to eat here. It’s too bad too, because the food here was pretty decent with decent prices. With a little effort it seems like they could turn it into something other than just a Taco Tuesday pit-stop.

50 cent taco Tuesdays! So worth the money. Takes awhile, but it is made to order. I tried the asada, carnitas, and the al pastor tacos. More than worth the money. Wasn’t busy at all. I wouldn’t want to see a place like this shut down so I would have to give it 5 stars. I recommend calling in your orders. 50 cent taco Tuesdays choice of meat is asada, al pastor, carnitas, chorizo, pollo, or burria.

***this review is based only on the potato taco*** So I just had a taco de papa, since everyone has recommended it. And in my opinion it was just okay! nothing special my number 1 potato taco is still la buffadora. I haven’t tried the other tacos but do want to go back to do so.

Went here for the first time this past weekend and was surprise with how good their tacos were. I had asada and tripas. The asada gave competition to all the other taco places in the area but their tripas were incredibly delicious. For a buck a taco you can’t go wrong. I would of gave 5 stars if service was a little faster and if the restroom would of been cleaner. If you need a beer with your tacos just get it to go and grab a beer at the Mexican bar next door.

This is a hole in the wall, local taco place. My hubby got the tripas, asada, and lengua tacos, and they all passed his taste test. He’s very picky about his Mexican food. $ 1 tacos. I had the asada, too, but I heard about the papas tacos, and had to try it. I liked it! It’s served with a crunchy taco, lettuce, tomato and cheese, with potatoes. Mmmmm…$ 1.25 for one of these babies. 2 will fill ya up! Friendly service… highly recommend it.

Just finished lunch from here. Take-out from Ibarra’s. PLEASE do yourself a favor and phone in your order unless you have lots of time to spare. They take a really really long time because they have a small staff working there. Maybe 2 people? We ordered the tacos de papas(of course), one mulita and some fries. The cabbage in the condiments bar is really good! I got a lot of that, and it went well with the mulita. I wanted to try their mulita again because I remember not liking it much last time, and thought it might be different today, but nah. I’m just not much of a fan. The meat they use was still very dry. Skip the fries as well. Potato tacos all. the. way. With lots of cabbage on the side. Yum. 50 cent charge if you want to use debit or credit card.

The papas tacos, good choice. Cheap price, and very crispy tortilla shell without being oily. The mulita with asada was good, but the tacos were better! The freshly grated cheese is no joke, it’s great stuff. Next time I’ll have to try the chicken mulita, but I’ll definitely get more potato tacos!

This is one of those hole-in-the-wall places that you’d never find unless someone you knew took you there. It’s in a ghetto-looking shopping plaza, next to a Mexican bar and a coin laundry, across the street from a Carniceria and metal-works shop. But if you want huge burritos for $ 3.50, or crispy potato tacos(dorados tacos de papa) for $ 1.25, go here. You can substitute any meat in your burritos and tacos. Try their homemade coconut snacks in the display case at the register. You can call in your order, and it’ll be ready in 5 – 10 minutes. This place isn’t open 24 hours, but it is open quite late. We first found out about this place from Daniel, who spoke little English, but worked there, and then came over to our game shop late nights to play DDR. He went back to Mexico last July. We need to revive our DDR following.

With an overabundance of Mexican food restaurants in Azusa, where the heck does one start? Thankfully, my network of clients affords me access to info with regard to which local places to definitely go to, and which places to avoid. One such«go to» place is Ibarra’s, a restaurant that comes off(to me anyways) as a place that offers a true taste of authentic Mexican street food. Two items on their menu keep me from straying to any other Mexican places: 1) the Mulita(moo-leeta) with carne asada beef and 2) Tacos de Papa(potato tacos). You can actually choose from the usual array of Mexican meat-preparations as a filling for your mulita: asada, pastor, cabeza, lengua, etc. Dine-in or take-out? I choose to take out. You don’t exactly get an Acapulco-esque décor in this place.
