Good trail for begginers. I actually can across this trail on accident looking for the bridge to nowhere trail. It’s about 3.5 miles long and about 1300 ft elevation increase from the beginning of the trail to a bit past the second tunnel. I was at this trail in the end of January and the weather was great, not too chilly but just fine for once you warm up. I definitely recommend this trail to anyone out for a casual stroll or beginning hike.

I hiked here with a few friends over 3 years ago and never thought to do a review. This is a great trail for beginners although there are a few moderate inclines. You can do it just take breaks. There is a Bee Farm and you will definitely hear the buzzing and see a few strays but no worries for them… It was little after the fire that we went and the landscape was chared and resembled a dark forest from a Disney film… so sad! Hopefully it has recovered, I plan to return soon. The tunnels as I understand were a planned escape route to the high desert… Unfortunately its 2 lanes would create the worlds worst traffic jam had we tried to use it! Enjoy it and bring water and a snack. I believe the trip was around 3 miles up and 3 miles back. TAKEPICTURES!

The trail isn’t that bad but it’s a cool place to walk through. It’s good for beginners but it’s a little sad that the side you hike on is like dead and brown, where the opposite hill is nice and green and plush.
