Was here over the weekend for some casual trek along the trails. Its essentially one long horse trail that connects to Belmont Lake State park in the north. I had a great time here its quite secluded and a nice barrier from all the traffic noises. Lots of people walking with their dogs or biking. The trails are quite well maintained and I actually saw a number of trash cans along the path so makes it convenient not having to carry out all trash. There is a horseriding stable along the way though so definitely do be careful when you’re walking and not step into any presents left by the horses :) Overall its a great way to relax and unwind, for a dog person like myself its quite nice to see so many dog lovers just out for walks. The whole park isn’t overly huge I would say leisurely probably about an hour or so to cover all the different paths around the lake. A great place for a stroll or bike ride. Plenty of parking spots and near the entrance quite a number of playgrounds for the little kids. Couldn’t ask more for a nice little local neighborhood park

Love this place. We call it the horse trails because a nearby stable rides through these trails sometimes. But mostly it’s just neighborhood folks walking their dogs, fishing, riding bikes or just walking to enjoy the scenery. I am of the latter. I haven’t come here for a while because my new dog isn’t a good traveler. But walking through today just made me miss my old dog who was like my other son. Makes you feel like you are Upstate or in another state. Great scenery and all the folks are friendly.

There isn’t a great deal here, however it is a beautiful spot to walk, run, ride your bike, or just relax and enjoy nature. Dogs are allowed.(On leash.) Motorized vehicles are not. Some people come here to fish. Some fly model airplanes. Most people just come to enjoy the natural beauty. Bring your camera! :)
