We were on LI to visit family and we ran out of yarn (horrors!). Found the Village Knitter on google. I will DEFINITELY come back here when I’m on the island again. A broad selection of yarns/​colors at very good prices. Friendly owner. I even bought yarn for projects I hadn’t considered doing yet (because it was the «perfect» yarn). Worth a drive if you’re not from the Babylon area.

Stopped in with a friend to ask some questions, felt so comfortable and welcomed we decided to take a lesson then and there. We were hooked. The girls (Katy and Ann) are amazing. And the store has everything you need. A great little shop in a great village. Anyone who knits or is thinking they want to know more MUST stop in.

This is a lovely little knitting shop! I just found it a few weeks ago, and am in love. There is a wonderful assortment of great quality yarns, that made me drool. Although I haven’t made it yet… they have open knitting times twice a week in the shop. It sounds like a wonderful place to learn from other knitters (there is no formal instruction).
I met the owner and she was incredibly friendly and welcoming. I will be visiting there again very soon… so happy they are close to my home.

One of my favorites! Too bad they’re 40 minutes from my house… I’d be there every weekend if it weren’t so «far». I suppose that’s a blessing, otherwise I’d be broke and never see my family (LOL)! On a more serious note…
Superb yarn shop! HUGE selection and amazing variety of notions. I’m always in for a treat when I visit the Village Knitter… they have some of the yummiest yarn around. Samples abound, inspiring even the newbie knitter to pick-​up a new project. The owner is very helpful and offers her full attention when in need. I miss the old location, but this new one offers more room to spread out for those weekly knit-​a-​longs (which I’ve yet to join).
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this shop. Pay them a visit, you won’t be dissapointed.
