Love love love sheetz! Great food, but the prices could be better. Always good coffee, not your typical gas station coffee. I will always be a fan of sheetz.

What’s there to say? It’s a gas station that sells pretty good food! Best deal here is the 2 for $ 1.00 hot dog. Sheetz pizza is also very underrated. This location has never given me any problems.

Two words– Fro Yo. This was one of the first locations that I noticed that offered self-serve frozen yogurt and a whole bunch of toppings to choose from. I don’t come here too much now since I am now longer in Beaver County, but i do stop often when heading to my mom’s or sister’s. It’s on the way to their house and my sister buys so many Coke Icee’s that she usually has a free one that gives to me because i love them just as much as her :) You have your normal made-to-order food and everything else that sheetz offers. There are a few tables out from i believe. I really do miss sheetz. there are 4 Get-Gos within 5 miles of me(2 just in south side) but no Sheetz, waaahhh :’(

People, we need to discuss that Sheetz is kind of like the Walmart of convenience stores. I’m not saying that’s a bad thing, but each time I walk into a newer type location, they have attempted to conquer a new area of the fast food spectrum. This particular location has ended up giving fro-yo a chance, and they went a little high tech on it. While waiting on my MTO to be made, I ventured over to check out the set up they have. They have the conventional setup with four different flavors to choose from, then they also have this interesting machine where you can add a flavor burst with a touch of the screen. Topping wise, it’s the typical type of toppings you can add compared to any other fro-yo places, minus the fresh fruit part. Asides from me being floored from that, it is a bit cramped in here. Sits on a large lot, which is good, because there is also a car wash available on site. Prices for gas are typical as well.

So this is the fabled Sheetz my recently retired railroader father frequented regularly when he worked at nearby Conway Yard, the largest railyard in the United States. Kay and I finally stopped in to try some of Sheetz’s fare yesterday afternoon. I am still uncomfortable with the idea of touchscreen ordering. It’s very impersonal and eerily technocratic being that human beings(will they be replaced by robots someday?) are on the other side of the counter. I ordered a burger on ciabatta bread. Imagine that! Ciabatta bread. It was hearty and dusty enough. The burger was so-so, tasting somewhat frozen. The fries were akin to Wendy’s new revisionist version. Then I had a cream-filled donut with chocolate glaze. Eh. We almost ordered the pizza, but a hellacious storm outside forced us to eat in the car, and we all saw that«Brady Bunch» episode, didn’t we? Yeah, where’s the indoor seating? The only tables and chairs are outside, and the umbrellas purposely have holes in them for some reason. Also, considering that the food was supposed to be cheap, I was flabbergasted at our tab! Even with Kay using her discount card, the bill was $ 25! To recap, that was for a burger, a small bag of fries, a donut, a two-pack of Sheetz cookies, a pepperoni roll, an order of five chicken tenders, and two soft drinks?!? Gas or food? Which does Sheetz gouge thee for worse?

Good food at decent prices at any time of the day. Their chicken subs were much better years ago(so were the prices) but thems the breaks.
