Oceanside, CA
113 degrees on the 15south, had to stop off in Baker. The Death Valley exit is the last one before Barstow and there was a huge power outage. Thank you Baker Market for keeping their store open, letting us use their restrooms and buy drinks :-)

La Crescenta-Montrose, CA
Great place to stop by use the restroom and grab some brews before hitting vegas. Took away one star because the town of Baker sucks. :)

guy behind the counter was friendly; loved that there was no wait when the stores around this area are usually packed with people passing through. cute little mom and pop store with random souvenirs. was passing through to load up on beverages for the road and the guys picked up some beer for cheap.

They have the most random, crazy stuff here.
Bungee cords, zip ties, pet toys, pipes, etc. It’s like a low budget gift shop — definitely interesting.
It might be one of the most exciting places in Baker… and that’s not saying much.
If you’re looking for a drink or munchies, just go to Arco.
