I’d grown tired of coaxing Pandora to continuously play good road music, long since bored of my current collection on my ipod and was hungry for some good old fashioned radio — the lost art.
I was turned onto this GEM while browsing away in «In Your Wildest Dreams» a lovely consignment/​antique shop — and had to ask the gal ringing me up what the station was that was playing!
++ R & B oldies — the less than usual Motown classics, Lowrider gems, and my personal fav — FUNK! And not the same old played out Cameo song (Word Up!) but the Bar Kays, Slave, Rick James (the goods that are typically NOT played on the radio), The Time, Prince (remember «Lady Cab Driver»??) and Fatback — HELLO!
++ Modern R & B oldies — R. Kelly, Guy, Cover Girls — and again, songs that you NEVER hear on the radio any more.
I almost crashed the rental when «Thighs High» came on — haven’t heard that jam in YEARS!
