Bakersfield Swim Academy

I just heard they have a new location they are offering swim lessons at (Seven Oaks Country Club). I love the staff here. They are so patient and understanding with young kids. My daughter is a fish, but my son who was 3 when he started was scared of the water. They were great with him, and by his third lesson he stopped crying. Thank you for teaching my kids to swim, and giving me peace of mind when they are around the water.

My kids love coming here to learn to swim. The instructors are very encouraging and supportive. A very fun environment.

We go to the mommy and me swim times. The staff I amazing and well trained. They work very well with children of all ages. The water is perfect and the facility is very clean.

Great facility and teachers. Our kids are thriving here, with the benefit of personal attention. And the place has an Olympic pedigree, after all.
The facility is clean, accessible, and easy for parents to watch. Highly recommend!

My terrified of the water 7 year old now is a confident and competent swimmer in only 2 months. And my 3 year old who has never taken lessons can float on her back and swim on a basic level.
This is incredible progress! After years of bringing my older daughter to the YMCA and other community lessons, never again. They are more expensive but it’s worth it and actually cheaper is you consider how many lessons they’d need in typical instruction.

If there is a ZERO rating, I would have chosen that. The front desk staff who is in charge of scheduling after the swim evaluation is incompetent. She put my 2 kids in the same class in error. I informed her several times that the swim instructor who did the eval said that 1 child is Level 2 (Guppy) and the other Level 1 (Starfish). She confirmed that she put them in the schedule for their appropriate class levels. I just found out about the scheduling staff’s mistake when I already brought my 2 children for their 1^st day of swim class. When the front desk staff checked the computer, I was told that they cannot accommodate my younger child since the Level 1 class were full and the front desk staff who does the schedule made a mistake of putting him for the wrong class! Very frustrating! I asked to speak with the Manager but there was no Manager on site. No contact number either. I was given an email address instead. I sent an email to the Manager, hoping for a prompt action regarding this matter. So disappointed!

I am absolutely amazed at how fast my kids learned to swim at BSA. We don’t have a pool at home, and I was always worried about my kids whenever we’d take them swimming.
We started them at BSA and they’ve turned into fish.
The kids get individual attention and instruction from coaches, and they have a great time!

The Bakersfield Swim Academy is such a great place to have your child learn to swim. Our child has been going there now since she was 2 years old and now she is 4. She swims with ease, we never worry about her safety in a pool. That is such a relief to not have to worry about her safety ever. She swims so well that other parents are amazed and I think jealous sometimes. My wife and I were swimmers growing up ourselves and look forward to putting her in the swim team next year when she is 5. The staff is alway supper friendly and the management and owners are a blessing.
