Looks like one of those great little neighborhood food stops… Reviews were positive but my experience was mediocre at best. Pastrami was good not great. Cheese Burger was good not great. Taquitos were the previously frozen in a box brand. Lots of good french fries! The reason for a 3 star score was the Taquitos and way too much ice in the sodas!!! But if your hungry it’s a good place to eat.

When I’m craving a cherry Pepsi or a REAL vanilla coke this where I go. None of that drive thru crap this place is the real deal!
Classic and greasy American grub and cheap too. You can’t go wrong with anything you order here. The burgers are great and the shakes are the best! I know the area is a little. Meh. But please… Give this place a shot!
I’ve been eating more and more at Buckos lately and can’t believe I haven’t reviewed. Haven’t even had time to take a picture because it is so good it’s gone by the time I think of it.

The food here is pretty good. Price is average for a burger joint. It gets crowded around lunchtime, no big deal you can call and have your food ready for pickup, that’s pretty convenient. Customer service is just okay. The fries are good but tell them light seasoning otherwise it’ll be drenched in salt.

I started going to Bucko’s Jolly Cone when I was about 16 years old (50 years ago), took my daughters there from when they were babies (33+ years ago) and have been taking my granddaughter there since she was about 2 years old (she’s now 13 years old) and it’s just as great now as it was back when I was a teenager! Can’t beat the burritos, fries and OMG their shakes are AWESOME! I hope this place lives on for many more decades to come! LOL I remember when my girls were little and they would ask me to take them to «the taco fries place» because they loved the french fries and at that time they would serve them in the little bags they’d put their tacos in. Best part of my Saturday nights as a kid was to go next door (after a couple hrs of skating at Rollerama) and get an order of fries and a fresh banana milk shake. YUM!

I Miss Buckos… I Use to work at memorial Hospital and would take lunch breaks at this place. the fried burritos and fries are so bomb! The Staff there knew what i was there for because i would go often. Next time i am in Bakersfield i will make a stop here for sure! :)

Our friends wanted us to go get them a milk shake…
They have the best milk shakes I have ever had! I got Peanut Butter it was outstanding. It had a strong flavor of peanut butter. Most places you can’t even tell it’s the flavor you ordered. They have a great variety of flavors! We will be back!!!
