Came here for some fries with my 5 year old daughter before our movie started. About five minutes into our meal she had to go to the bathroom. We were gone all of two minutes and when I came back they were throwing away our food. We really didn’t have time for them to remake our fries and then be cool enough for my daughter to eat. So I just said for them to give me our check. Thinking they’d say it was on the house since we barely ate any of our food and they threw it away. Nope. Still had to pay the $ 9. Will not be back if that’s how they’re going to treat people.

Just came back from disneyland, so a $ 7 hotdog seems like a deal(even though it’s not). The shaped bread bun was a nice touch.

Went here just to get a shake but me my sisters and mom got their onion rings and their cheese tots that have bacon on them. I got their strawberry banana shake. There food was so good and their shakes we’re so good, doesn’t meet the shakes at five and dime but close. Staff was very nice and inside so cute. I will be back to try some other real food lol.

I had the grilled cheese with the grilled onions, tomatoes, and with sourdough bread. I also asked for a side of onion rings and they didn’t taste as great. A few of the onions had a funky taste to it.

I had the most unprofessional experience here. My husband and I ordered burgers, mine without mustard(as I am allergic). When my burger came, WITH mustard, we asked them for a new one. We watched as our waiter took the burger, WIPEDOFFTHEMUSTARDWITH A NAPKIN, had the cook put it back on the grill, then bring it back to us. Disgusting. We have never been back and will never go back.

Terrible customer service skills and disgusting food. Ate here with my boyfriend for lunch and received my order of chicken strips RAW! After I had bit into the first one and realized something was very off with the texture I looked inside to see bright pink raw chicken. We showed the waitress who thought nothing of it so I asked to speak to the manager. She told me it was OK to eat raw chicken. I could not believe my ears! To insult me more she said the best she could do was Half Off our meal. I told her there was no way I was paying for the meal. Since this visit I have never stepped foot into any Johnny Rockets and never will. I will post a photo of the OK to eat chicken strips by Johnny Rockets standards in the photos. Beware.

I have not had positive experiences here in the past, but my son wanted to go and I decided to give it another shot. First, they now include fries or onion rings withe their entrees, which wasn’t the case the last time I was there years ago. Big improvement. I got a philly steak sandwich. It was pretty good, not as good as a traditional cheesesteak place, but good for a burger joint. The onion rings were also better than anticipated. Thin, crispy, and with real onions. My only complaint is that they offer fries or onions rings. The onion rings were an upgrade, but they wouldn’t give me half fries and half rings, even if I paid the full upgrade. Come on guys, it’s not that hard, and pretty common these days.

I hadn’t been to Johnny Rockets in many many years, but I was meeting someone at Edwards and we decided to grab a burger here first. We sat down and the waiter brought us menus and took our drink orders quickly. I ordered a Houston burger which comes with jalapenos, pepper jack cheese, lettuce, tomato and spicy sauce. I asked for them to add bacon, because, well, it’s bacon. The burgers came quickly and included a side of french fries. The hamburger was good and spicy and the bacon was good, too. The fries were also good, but there wasn’t anything particularly memorable about them. Honestly, I don’t see myself driving to the Marketplace just to have a burger here, but I’d certainly come again if I wanted to grab a quick burger before a movie. The waiter was fast and courteous. We were on a tight schedule(less than 30 minutes before the movie started) and we had no trouble making the feature.

A blast from the past, not only is it a 50’s set up kind of place, but at night you got the lights from Edwards theater shining in the background and everything together just makes it feel like you have traveled back in time. For the food itself, it’s pretty good, old fashioned burgers, the vibe is great, clean, great customer service and the food is fresh.

The cheeseburger was good and fries were decent. Didn’t have the best customer service. The milkshakes are $ 10 and not that great.

It took 4 separate employees, all with completely different guesses(vegetable, corn, soy, and«I don’t knowwww… why?») to determine what type of oil they used for cooking. It was only after a member of our party stated, «it is a life or death scenario if you use peanut oil, so we need to know» that one of the four employees thought to go and actually check the label in the back. Food quality 2/5, cleanliness of establishment 2/5, our server was polite and helpful once we were settled in.

Went here with my family and there was not many customers eating so our food came out quickly. I ordered the bbq chicken melt and my husband ordered the Philly cheesesteak and they were good. I was little upset since my meal was over $ 11.00 and they only gave me what felt like 10fries! I would expect a good size plate for this price. I had too much bbq sauce on my sandwich, guess I should have told them to only put a little squeeze. We asked to split our bill and all three separated bills were charged gratuity. The waiter made a good tip off of the 6 of us and he wasn’t the best and their food wasn’t the best either. I came here to visit my brother… will I come back again… not sure. Unless I have to which will probably never happen.

I love their milkshakes. They are a bit expensive, and the rest of the food is just average, but they make tasty shakes. I like the chocolate; my wife has chocolate and banana, and my son has Oreo. We generally don’t talk after the arrive, and they are pretty much gone very quickly. One thing I notice is that they say they give you one shake plus the mixing cup of extra ice cream, but the glass they give you is only half full, plus the air of the whipped topping. Not sure who they think they’re kidding. You’re not getting one plus a little more; you’re getting one only, in two cups. Still, they are very tasty, and we get here a few times a year for a treat.

The milk shakes are about the best thing they have going for them. …and they’re ok. The food sucks. I have been disappointed with the food every time I’ve come here. It’s amazing they’re still in business. A modern day miracle really…

It was a very busy time — just before the movies started at Edwards and it was Christmastime! Despite that, service was very friendly, attentive and our waiter seemed to want us to leave with a good experience. When you walk in, you are just told from behind the counter to seat yourself, wherever you wish. Great booths if you can get one. Very diner-ish, casual and fun. There were lots of kids in tonight.(I did note a kids‘menu) I loved the little 5 cent jukeboxes on the table and the fact that they serve Heinz ketchup, not that other cheap store bought crap. Makes a difference. We ordered an American French Fry to start and while not super expensive, the portion size was crazy small. We had to ask if we had the right order or if we were give a little side dish of them. I will say, we split a chicken, bacon and cheese(cheddar) sandwich on sourdough and it was one of the best sandwiches I have ever had. Seriously. Not messy, goopy or too melty, it was just perfect with the BEST bbq sauce(it was like smoky apple, sweet but not too sweet). You could taste all the fresh ingredients. Loved the chicken. And I do not particularly like cheese but it was sooo good altogether. We had a side salad with that instead of doubling up on the fries(but the fries were very good and could have had more) and the salad was just OK. I hope when tomatoes are in season, they use fresh red ones, preferably local and not these ones we got. I liked that we could also salt our own fries. We were also able to have a beer with our meal, Corona! It was perfectly cold too. Overall, because of the sandwich and service, I have to give 4 stars. The music was older of course but fit the restaurant‘s theme. if you do not like a super casual, loud, controlled chaotic atmosphere due to the proximity of the movie theater, you may have to choose somewhere else to eat! (Of note there is a take-out counter as well and a patio for outdoor dining)

My husband and I went to eat at this restaurant last night and we were very«unimpressed». I really didn’t want to eat here, but he insisted since he’s never been to a Johnny Rockets chain restaurant before. We sat at the bar, and ordered: (1) Chicken chipotle & bacon/cheddar sandwich — i ordered this entrée and it was not very good. the sandwich was dry, cheddar was not fully melted, and small pieces of breaded chicken inside. it didn’t look anything like the photos they had in the menu! (2) The Houston sandwich — plain burger, with mediocre flavors and rather dry. If I had to recommend something, it’d be to go to Just Wing It(a restaurant just down the hallway from Johnny Rockets) and order their wraps or burgers. Tastes so much better! Service was friendly though.

Place has gone to shit. Be aware of the added gratuity on your bill. That son of a b did not deserve a $ 4 tip. He never came around and we had to get up and ask for stuff. The sandwhich i ordered did not look like what was on the menu and i asked are you sure this is what i ordered and he said thats how it comes. Wtf? Anyways… My chicken melt i ordered fell apart right from the beginning. I ended up with a pile of food and had to eat it with a fork… The only reason i ate it was it did taste good. Thankfully i didnt get the shits. Will NEVER come back here. We had only came back because we hadn’t been there in a while and the food was good back then. You are better off going to McDonald’s… And that is saying something.

The server cleared garbage off the ground, cleared tables, and then served us our food without washing his hands. He then cleared more tables and garbage, and then served others with his dirty garbage hands. This was one worker on one night. I will never come back here. :/ Hopefully this experience for everyone there tonight was just an outlier.

Sorry but any mom and pop burger joint in town will take this place out. Service is so mediocre… they are so slow and not to mention our food took so long to be ready. There was only about three tables to be served but they were taking as long as if it were a full house :| The cheese fries I do not recommend… the cheese was not good at all it was kind of sour. The #12 was not anything to rave about. Sorry not sorry but we did not like this burger joint!
