Hands down the best Mariscos in town, actually to me there is no place better anywhere. Been coming here for years, since I was a kid and it never disappoints. A definite must try is the LA Plancha, shrimp tacos and fish tacos. It’s just a little place but is by far the best. Oh and don’t forget to have a Michelada, also the best in town. A great family restaurant with a great owner who is the best at what he does !!!

Best shrimp tacos in town and you can’t beat the prices! Don’t expect a fancy restaurant but their seafood is fresh and authentic. Would recommend everything on the menu.

I was trying to be optimistic, but crying kitties in the alley & shuffling mice in the rodent catchy was disturbing! Me, a want to be Andre Zimmerman, was still determined to find a treasure buried in the East. I realize I might upset the local loyal fans, but I feel I might of put my health at risk, and I actually paid for it??? First, I Don’t care for the smell of Colarex & fish. Second, the salsa was purchased from Copes & overly salty. Third, no avocado in the shrimp cocktail. No Bueno. Finally, dirty old tomatoes atop of the grossly battered extremely greasy fish taco. Nasty. Take pride in your product people!

Really bland, boring food with no discernible flavor. Even the salsa was watery and bland. The beans were boring, rice had no flavor, even after I doused it with salsa. Their carnitas was very dry, and tasted like it had been cooked in really old oil– yuck. Went in the afternoon, and they were super busy with tons of people taking food home with them. I wonder what they were ordering? I won’t be coming back here, plenty of other good Mexican places in Bakersfield to choose from.

Another great hole-in-the-wall Mexican place on the East side. Perhaps the best thing to try at La Sirena is the ceviche, and my two personal favorites are the ceviche de pescado(fish) and de camarones y pulpo(shrimp and octopus). It’s hard to describe the taste quite perfectly as it is salty and tangy at the same time, having been cooked to tender perfection in lemon/vinegar. I like the ceviche de pescado with the tortilla chips, but the camarones and pulpo, I like to eat alone. I can tell the camarones was cooked with citrus juice, but I think the pulpo is boiled. In any case, they both taste delish. One complaint I have is that they only accept cash. Also, for $ 8 you don’t get a lot of ceviche per serving. Despite this I always come back.

This place is the best Mexican seafood in town. If I want to eat good food, very affordable price and good portions of food this is the place to go. We come all the way to East side of town to have good Mexican seafood. But it’s worth of driving, you wont be disappointed. We always order the Camarones la plancha and ceviche tostadas. They also have good shirmp tacos. I woud say a one $ sign for this place not two $$ sign. I gave 4 stars due to accept CASH only. I’m highly recomend to this place for best Mexican seafood restaurant in Bakersfield. We took family and friends there and they were very satisfied and keep going back!

Their shrimp tacos are amazing! I washed them down with an ice cold Jarritos to complete this amazing meal. FYI: This place is cash only!!!
