We recently had a salesman come out for an estimate on new products. The salesman was very nice but the prices are absolutely outrageous. They are double the price of many contractors here in town. Luckily I know someone in this line of business and was floored when they gave me the total price for my grandmother’s home. Total rip off. People should stick with the smaller companies and stay away from the franchise businesses.

My best friend had purchased a heating and air tune up. I happened to be there the day the service was provided. The tech’s name was Willie. He was very professional and new his stuff! Usually things like that are a little awkward but, Willie was pretty funny and easy to talk to. From what I’ve heard from other customers of theirs, the other tech’s seem to be just as professional!

I had their monthly service for a little over a year and it was pretty much a disaster. They were to come out and check my air conditioner and furnace prior to each season. During the summer they cancelled my appointment 3 times and then never called back or even tried to make another appt. For the winter I simply never heard from them. Needless to say, I have cacelled their service and would never recommend them to anyone.

One Hour Air came out to service our heater that was emitting a burning smell through the return. They were able to come out the same day to our home quickly identify the problem. He even went one step ahead and video taped the issues he found which was a faulty installation by the builder. The technician was professional, experienced, and knew what he was doing. I even got a call from the owner Mark who checked in to see how the service was. Very thankful for One Hour Air and the service they did and would highly recommend them and their company.

SUPEROVERPRICED, hard start kit n capacitor sells for 80 buks both online, 1 hr a/c will sell for 800 buks how u do dat??? DONTMESSWITHTHISCOMPANY!!!

Horrible, stay away from these guys. Had to schedule 2 weeks out, even took the day off work to be here 10am-2pm. They called 3 days prior to service date to confirm, good. They call 10 mins before 10am the day of to tell me they can’t come out because someone else is more important basically. Said the next available date would be a month out. They were overpriced anyways. Good luck with your business model guys! Update– Bumping up to a 2 star for the fact that they called back due to another cancelation and wanted to see if I wanted the spot. At this point I already had another company on my roof servicing the unit.

8÷27÷14 Update. I’ve increased the stars from 1 to 2. I still feel One Hour is way overpriced for the services they offer. I spoke to a Manager and he was very polite and explained their business model. He assured me the techs do not receive any incentive if the customer gets a new unit. If using a big company is the most important thing to you they may be great but be ready to spend much much more(5 times more in my case). 8÷26÷14 Stay away from this company!!! We saw them in Costco and agreed to get our A/C unit«serviced» by them. The A/C had been working perfectly but after doing whatever they do out there the guy told us we had a cracked contactor(pretty sure he cracked it by over tightening the screw because it wasn’t broken before) and a capacitor EXTREMELY out of range. The price to fix both of these things…$ 716 on top of the $ 49 we paid them to service the unit. By the end of the conversation he was calling his sales guy to come sell us a new unit. He was trying to convince us it wouldn’t make sense to spend this much money on a 15 year old unit. We weren’t expecting to pay $ 716 for a unit that was working perfectly so I looked online and found that these parts costs about $ 10 a piece. I called up another HVAC company and they replaced both parts in about 10 minutes for $ 140. They hooked up a voltmeter to the capacitor and showed me that it was not out of range but was exactly at what the numbers on the label said it should be.

Would recommend this company. The tech that serviced out heater took pictures before and after to show us. He documented everything and was very knowledgeable. My mother who was there at the time of service told me he wore special covers for his shoes and even vacuumed when he was done. Impressive service. He also showed us calculations for our homes sq footage that the unit we have is too small for our home and the return also too small for the unit making it work harder then it should to heat our home. He also took pictures of ply wood that was inside the unit apparently from the construction of the home that was covering the blower also overworking the unit. Well documented, good service, and all around great experience with this company. We signed up with them through a groupon but with such good service signed up for their annual service plan we were that impressed.

Well I’m usually a hard sell so when my heating element went out I called Home Shield to cover it. Long story short I called One Hour heating & air iand experienced the best service I could ask for from the Bakersfield office. The service tech Derek was an educator not a salesman. He educated me on my unit and went above and beyond to make sure I knew what he was doing as he located the immediate problem but also disassembled the unit to find the heat exchanger had a crack. Now when the Home Shield H/C come over they said they would have only fixed the problem and would not have done any other servicing of the unit. Derek may have saved our life’s and we are very great full for his dedication to his profession. Thank you Derek and One Hour H/C in Bakersfield Ca!

I had purchased a daily deal for tis company to try them out, as I need a good air conditioning service company from time to time. On the day I was to have the service their was a storm in our area, with rain thunder and lightening. I did not think it wise to have someone on the roof, so made the appointment for the following Tuesday, between 3 – 5 No one showed up. I called the next day and found that they were unprofessional. The first excuse was that they were waiting for me to make a new appointment. l I had done that! On the day of the storm! then she said they didn’t have my phone number to call me. Call me about what… they already had the appointment set up. She found that they did have my number but had copied it down wrong. All in all it was a fiasco. I asked to have the manager call me, and never did hear from him. No apology, nothing. I contacted the Daily Deal and had the transaction voided..

This place seriously overcharged me just to examine the problem. Then they offered to fix it for $ 1600, when I had a friend from church come over and simply unplugged the drain for free.
