I’ve been coming since I was little, and I’ve never been disappointed with the food or service. All the dishes are exotic, and their sushi is fresh and delicious. Brings back memories when I sit in those booths chowing down on really good chinese food.

Friendly staff and food is always great. Services is great 2. We come here quite regularly and never had a bad experience. They give just enough food for what you pay for.

I’ve been a regular at Panda Palace for over 10 years. First off, let me say that the food is generally just OK. It has a lot of salt(which is fine with me). However, the service is fantastic. We’ve gotten to know all the waiters personally. However, our visits are always consistent. We’ve never had a mind blowing, incredible meal at Panda Palace but it has NEVER been bad in ten years of going. The dinner buffet is best(try the butter shrimp). The hot & sour soup is pretty good and their sushi is really good considering it’s a buffet. This place is easily the best Chinese buffet in Bakersfield.

It has a small buffet, but they cover the basics. The best dish is the butter shrimp. The waiters bring your drinks and soup if you want it. There are more extensive buffets in town, but we go here because the dining room is comfortable.

Empty trays, pushy staff waste of money, food was not fresh and looked like it had been there over night. Cold food that was suppose to be hot! Just don’t !

I felt like I haven’t had diarrhea in a while so I tried out the place. Generic Americanized Chinese food did the trick.

Panda Palace used to be one of my favorite place for Chinese food Buffett. But, I’ve tired of waiting for them to fill that empty Samon and butter shrimp tray. I’ve notice they take forever. Unlike Sakura Buffett, and I’ve gone there near closing, Sakura keeps the trays full and trays are filled quickly. My family and I used to be regulars at Panda Palace, but their slowness to fill my favorite items have caused me to betray them to Sakura. Farewell Panda Palace.

So… Visiting from Sacramento. My stepdaughter wanted some Chinese food. I asked her to find one, as I napped. She found this place and I asked her to look up the reviews on Unilocal.Which is usually what I do to check out a new place, especially when I’m somewhere visiting. Anyway, she says the reviews look good, let’s go. The first thing I noticed when I walked in was how HUGE the place is. Totally fine, but what stood out even more was the small amount of diners. This instantly had me thinking… How could this place not be packed, and all the reviews looked great? Anyway, the host was really sweet, she directed us to a table near the buffet. I looked down and the carpets were horrible! Gum stains… Yes, gum stains! My stepdaughter grabs a plate, and starts filling up. She’s excited because they have crab. Me? No. There were flies on top of the crab! Flies! I was done… We left. No thanks! Ugh if this is what you guys consider to be the best Chinese buffet… You have never been anywhere. Ugh!

I was to meet friends at a Chinese restaurant but they gave the wrong address, so I ended up eating alone at Panda Palace. What a treat. I have been back 4 times already. I love the noon buffett, which is only $ 8.00. For that you can have so many choices, such as oysters on the shell, egg rolls, 8 different entrees, soup, tea, cake, icecream, and even sushi. I’m so happy that I found this place and will go back many, many times.

It was so good! This place makes me happy now that they have an A again! Only thing i would have to say is that you need to vacuum the floors! But other then that the food was so good, hot and fresh. People there are so nice and waiters are very busy and get your drink very quickly!

My family comes here occasionally and it’s normally on the rare Sunday that we go to church. (~$ 11 for Sunday Buffet drink & soup included) Food was pretty average, nothing that great about it. The only items I truly enjoy are the tempura shrimp in some kind of sweet glaze and the wings. The sushi is not impressive and looks like something I could make at home. They do have crab legs and oysters available as well. The desserts are what truly make it. The sponge cake is always moist, the soft serve is great, and the cream puffs are delicious. Service is okay, hit and miss most of the time. I normally only come when I’m craving that shrimp.

It’s the only buffet place I prefer to go to in this town. They have a great buffet selection with sushi and seafood. You can also order off the menu. I personally have never order off the menu bc their buffet is so good. But I heard it is just as good off the menu. Their customer service is also an A+!!!

This is the best Chinese buffet in Bakersfield. We come here often, and I appreciate the consistency. When I go to a Buffet, I do not expect a fine dining experience. But the food here is usually fresh and there is a lot of it. Other reviews mention lack of variety, I do not see that as a problem. If I want the huge buffets with big variety, then I know a trip to L A is coming up. To those Unilocalers complaining about lack of variety go to Kami in Monterey Park. But I feel this is as good as it gets in my home town Bakersfield, and we will be back.

Let me start by saying that the food at Panda Palace is quite good. I know a lot of people complain about the lack of variety, but I don’t necessarily feel like it is a bad thing. I think it is better to do a few things well than a lot of things okay. They seem to have their formula down here. The food is always hot and fresh, even on slow days and it’s fairly inexpensive. I have always had a good experience with the service as well. The only reason I knocked one star off is just for overall cleanliness. There isn’t anything too off-putting, but it could be a little cleaner.

We made a reservation for a family member’s birthday party. There were 11 adults and four kids. For the kids the waiter charged based on whether they ate or not and their age. Total bill was just $ 158 excluding tip. The buffet was good with all the typical food items in an asian buffet. Their sushi, however, was much better than the typical asian buffet. Their cake is also good. They also sell made to order cakes for parties. We chose not to order a cake since they have cake in their buffet. Although they had only 2 waiters bringing people their drinks at the restaurant and one other guy keeping the buffet islands stocked, they did a good job overall, our glasses were refilled and people were not kept waiting for food. For what we paid, I wont complain about how old the bulding is or how the parking lot needs some maintenance.

I’ve been to various buffets in Bakersfield, but this one is the best! They have limited selection, but they’re tasty. I dont usually like cold crablegs but I make an exception here. Although crablegs are cold, they’re succulent, moist, sweet. I also like their baked fish, honeyshrimp, and greenbeans and did I mention crablegs? :) Sushi were meh… Deserts! Oh let me tell you abput deserts! I am not a deserts –person. They only have like 4types of pastries when I went there but they were all so good. They weren’t too sweet. They were just right. Those coconut cookies are so good, they sell them by small packages by the cashier. The waiter, Samuel, was really attentive, polite and friendly without being too intrusive. For less than ten bucks for dinner buffet, you cannot go wrong with this restaurant. :) #foodcoma #ruineddiet *minus one star for slightly messy restroom. But the thing is, the paper towel dispenser in women’s restroom was broken, unable to dispense paper towel, and there was no hand dryer anywhere. :/

Since my husband and I have been in Bakersfield, we’ve never heard of Panda Palace until my husband was invited to attend a dinner event at this restaurant. If it wasn’t for the invitation, we probably wouldn’t have come to this place to try out the food. Parking was plentiful. It’s a typical Chinese restaurant; however, the food they serve is buffet-style. Since we were attending a festive event; there were at least 10 buffet entrees that evening, including: (1) shrimp & broccoli (2) fish and mustard greens (3) chicken wings (4) stir fried vermicelli (5) stir fried shrimp w/scallions & pepper (6) white rice (7) teriyaki chicken (8) peking spare ribs (9) beef & bamboo It felt as though all the decorations were very ‘red’. Food was decent; very much what you can expect from a typical Chinese buffet.
