It’s been a different experience every time. My last experience a couple weeks ago, I ordered a family meal and had to wait for 30 minutes for my food with other customers parked besides me. This was past most people’s dinner time by the way(around 8:30−9pm). Then tonight was just strange. I ordered a simple 2pc meal and was given just the box but no bag? Is there a new policy going on that I’m unaware of? It would’ve been nice if the young lady had asked if I wanted a bag. And then I asked for a side of jalapeño, which they usually give out for free, but I was told it’ll be an extra .30¢ plus charge. So strange… But hey, it’s the only Popeyes that’s close to home, so I can’t complain too much. Their food is worth it, especially when I’m super hungry haha. So no matter what I’ll be back.

Ok, so no line at lunch time, is a positive or duh duh duhhhhhh an omen… Quick service, nothing special. To give an extra star. Alright now to the important part… THEFOOD Chicken, I got half regular and half hot, both very good. I love the crispy fried chicken, much better then the moist greasy KFC style chicken. The spice on the chicken was very good. Overall quality of the chicken was also good. Nothing weird like a wing with feathers on it… Fries, uhhh so disappointing, I bet they were good when they were fresh. They were not crisp and kinda cold when we got home. I would have to say very disapointed THEBISCUITS were delightful. Very fresh, soft on the inside. Buttery but not greasy. Fantastic if you add honey to them. Overall I feel like this place is hit and miss, sometimes it will be good and others I bet it struggles with freshness. I would recommend them over KFC if your looking for some good fried chicken though.

It doesn’t matter if it’s lunch or dinner this Popeyes is never prepared, I order a mild chicken meal and there is always a 15 minute wait on the chicken. Thought this was fast food!

We ordered our food and it’s been about 15 since we went through drive through and we just got our food! I am so disappointed in the lack of service! We will not be returning to this location! Service needs to be a little faster. We go through drive through for a reason fast service! They also forgot our water and ranch!

I have to admit that I miss the KFC that used to occupy this building before Popeye’s Chicken took over. Still, Popeye’s does make some good fried chicken with their own secret recipe and spices. I like both the mild and spicy versions of their chicken. Just depends on my mood. Am I feeling spicy or mild today. I always save room for dessert. Their cinnamon apple pie is as they say hot cinnamon apple goodness! Service is much faster than KFC was at this particular location so that is a good thing. Dining area is kept mostly clean as well. Keep your eyes open for coupons in the mail or newspaper. If there are none available, then I believe they may have some on their website. It’s nice to save money.

I stopped by for a quick bite this evening. I ordered a four piece spicy chicken along with the red beans and rice and coleslaw. The service was very attentive from the minute I walked in the dining room was spotless clean the food was hot and fresh the restrooms are clean another great stop especially for a fast food joint I would definitely return thanks for the great service.

Have not gone inside the restaurant to get my food. I have always gone to the drive-thru. I would always get a 10 piece spicy chicken for 11.99. I like the crispiness of the skin and the inside of the chicken is hot and I see the steam coming out when i bite into the chicken. This place is delicious.

Bathroom and biscuits stop. As I am writing. I am realizing that having a little one in the car means frequent stops. Stopped by here to get some biscuits on their road/the god child had to walk around for a bit. Bathroom was reasonably clean, biscuits were the usual. Thanks Bakersfield!

The food is great but customer service needs some help. If you want to order something that comes with a signature sauce, then make sure they have the sauce before finalizing your order. Multiple times I have received my order only to find out they are out of the specific sauce that is packaged with the meal. It may be a small issue but I love my sauces. A heads up would be nice so one could change their order or head to another location.

I have been here one other time before and the customer service was eh. This recent time they were super busy with one fryer. The front counter girl, missy was busting her a**. She was getting people’s orders and taking orders. When she took my order she was nice and pleasant. Last time the store was empty and my food took forever, so of course this time excepted to wait forever. My food was ready in what felt like 5 – 7 min hot and delicious.

Service was horrible even by drive thru standards. She was having a conversation with other employees in the background so I had to repeat myself several times. Then when we get to the window she just put her hand out for the money, handed us the change and food and just closed the window. Didn’t even ask if we neede sauces or anything. We just got home and part of our order isn’t even here, but you better believe we were charged for it! Can’t wait to fill out the online survey too! And the food tastes like it’s been sitting out for hours. Horrible.

I have been getting chicken here on Tuesdays regularly for months. Up until last Tuesday it was a good value with good quality chicken, and I would have rated four stars. So I go there Tuesday and order the same thing I have always ordered, four Tuesday specials, half the chicken spicy and half the chicken mild. In the past they just get the chicken with tongs and place it into the box(es). The guy running the registar at the front counter proceeded to pick through two piles of chicken, selecting the smallest, most worthless pieces possible. Now I don’t mind getting a «chump» piece of chicken occasionally if that is the luck of the draw, but I don’t want eight chickenshit rip off pieces of chicken sellected to be such by some fucking teenager. I will be back next week and I will be watching. Try that shit on me on Tuesday August 26, and I will be talking to your boss and complaining to Corporate. Yea, that’s what I told you!

Every time I go here I have always had terrible customer service. They also can’t seem to get things running smooth because I always have to wait so long for my food order wether it’s the drive thru or inside, I am repeatedly told that it I’ll be about 3 min for Cajun fries which always ends up being 10 – 15 minutes.

I took my 4 girls to lunch here about a week ago. The food was good as always but they need to work on their people skills. In the middle of our meal the electricity went out and an alarm went on. An employee came up to our table and told us we had to leave now. I looked at him and said, «We’re in the middle of our meal.» The manager/supervisor that was behind the counter yelled, «Mam we need you all to leave because of safety reasons!» I looked up at her and she didn’t even look up at me when she said this. We literally walked out of there with our half eaten food in our hands and had to finish it in the car in the parking lot. I understand that these emergencies can happen but I did not appreciate how they just got rid of us. They should have been more courteous or given us a coupon or something for our inconvenience.

Went here on 3÷23÷14 about 1:30 pm the only reason I’m posting an exact time is because the service in the drive thru was appalling! I usually don’t single people out but this was a blatantly rude employee who should never be at the point of sale with customers. She was rude from the speaker until my last word. From rolling her eyes at me to her snippy answers of my simple questions about my order. UNBELIEVABLE! If you don’t like working with the public get a different job. I paid my money to buy their product and to be treated rudely? I was the only car in the drive thru so it wasn’t that they were busy. IDK I was nice and I’m not a picky orderer either. On the other hand the ONLY reason I’m giving 3 stars is the food was very good. I was going to try the BBQ place across the street but it was packed so decided to go here. Glad I did because the meal was good but left with a bad taste in my mouth because of such bad customer service, I felt like I was made fun of, and was just a bother to be waited on. Sorry if she was having a bad day, but don’t make people who come to spend money feel bad. Might drive to another location next time.

I’m not a huge fast food fan, but sometimes my husband would have Popeye’s Chicken cravings… so we would swing by and pick up an order of their famous chicken tenders(ask for spicy!). Their combo meals come with either 3 or 5 big chicken tenders(fried the Popeye’s New Orleans way) and then 1 or 2 sides of your choosing — we usually get mac n’ cheese and mashed potatoes, and it comes with a biscuit too. If you’re only in the mood for chicken, they also just offer«chicken only» options of tenders or regular chicken pieces(such as 8 piece meal = where it comes with wings, thigh, breast, etc.). Just remember that you’ll gain 1 – 2 lbs more after this artery-clogging meal, so it’s not that great to visit all the time if you wanna stay healthy! :) For cravings — I’d say it’s OK. We always do the drive-thru, much quicker that way.

See my tip – I know they were busy just after opening, but bins of already fried«back-up» chicken near the floor is no bueno!!! Went back last week(I’ll admit for the potatoes… yuuuum) and the chicken still tasted off. I ordered the spicy… It wasn’t dry, but somehow it just tasted like it had been made a few hours earlier. We also ordered the Jumbalaya bowl. It wasn’t very good either… the rice was waaaay overcooked and pretty much mush. I guess I’ll still have to drive to the Gosford location — never had a bad experience there.

This is the latest Popeye’s Chicken and Biscuits restaurant to open in a former Kentucky Fried Chicken and it’s already my favorite, probably because it’s the closest to home. The décor is remarkably upscale for a fast food establishment, predominantly orange and a deep red with avocado green and brown accents. There are many regular tables and a raised table with bar stools. You order at the counter and then find a seat to wait for your number to be called, but I appreciated the fact that when I came back to get it they repeat the order item by item for me to confirm. I ordered a combo with two pieces of fried chicken, which comes with your choice of side and a biscuit and drink(the dinners come with the biscuit and side but not the drink) and chose red beans and rice as my side. The waitress asked if I preferred regular or spicy(always spicy!) for the breast and for the wing. You can actually order one regular and one spicy if you prefer — good to know. There is a sign on the wall that states that the chicken is hand coated every thirty minutes and then fried. I’m not sure how often other fast food places coat their chicken(do the pre-prep everything before service? who knows) but the fried chicken here was the best I’ve ever had at a fast food place. Usually fast food fried chicken is either a little oily or a little dry, but both pieces that I received were coated evenly and neither oily nor dry. The red beans and rice had a nice smoky taste to them that made me think they’d actually been slow roasted with smoked meats. Overall, the meal seemed a little pricey but they are using whole chicken parts, not reconstituted«nuggets» so I didn’t mind the expense. I was not a frequent visitor to the old KFC, but I suspect I’ll be back a lot more often now that Popeye’s is in town!
