Not sure if a 2 hour wait is normal, as this is my first visit to a non-​chain, locally owned (I assume) barber shop. It didn’t seem to deter any of the other clients waiting with me on a Sunday morning. Everyone else seemed perfectly content with the wait as the shop was showing NFL Red Zone. No one greets any customers upon entering, so I waited at the front desk for a while before deciding to reach behind the desk, grab the sign in sheet and sign myself in. I finally got called up, got exactly what I asked for and for a good price. It taught me that I’m not a barber shop kind of guy, but if this shop got its waits down and improved the hospitality, they’d be top notch.

Good haircuts, depends on the barber really… biggest issue is waiting over 2 hours with no light at the end of the tunnel. The barbers show no sign of urgency regardless of how many people are waiting. That can be good and bad, but who wants to wait 2 hours for a hair cut then another hour to get it done? Sounds like theirs not enough barbers who do good work to be able to loose almost 200 minutes of ure day.

The only place I’ll go to get my hair cut in Bako. Eddie is the man. Always happy with his work, never have to worry about it. If your in the area and need a great fade or any hair cut for that matter go here, you won’t be disappointed!

I travel often and haircuts are like playing roulette. I found this place through the Unilocal app and went in during the day there was a wait midweek at 11am… I saw this as a good sign. I did get skipped over for some regulars which I would appreciate from my own barber, and I didn’t mind since I had time to wait. Andrew did my cut, afterward I wish this barber was in my town. I would strongly recommend Raymond’s to anyone.

Got an excellent trim from Al. Most customers looked to be getting buzzed or faded. I was wondering how my medium-​length clean-​up would turn out. You get five stars Al. It was an excellent haircut and good conversation.

Came in as a walk in and not to my surprise it was very full. I wanted to walk away but i thought to myself if it’s packed it must be good. I waited about an hour in a half, my son was in need of a hair cut for picture day. I gave a picture of the hair style I wanted for him and the barber over met my expectations. His hair was amazing! He has a bit of curly hair so his hair is hard to manage, but he knew what he was doing. Never again will I set foot at a beauty salon for my sons hair! This barbershop is the place to go! Thank you!

I been going to raymonds barber shop for longer than I can remember. Every time I go theres never a regret. I love my haircuts. Customer service is very good. The barbers are good at what they do. I will be going to Raymonds babrber shop and keep recommending people to come here for fresh haircuts.

Well just got here and signed in, wait doesnt seem that bad, ill update this when im done with the hair cut.
Update: cool barbers. I got my cut from emilo. I think that was his name. Prices are average, for a good quality haircut.

The 4 is for the haircut quality which is excellent. Customer service I would give a 2. If you don’t want to waste a Saturday or Sunday away make friends with one of the barbers. That’s the only way to get a haircut, you’re allowed to sign your name and leave and come back whenever you want for a open chair. 20 people in front of us and 8 guys cutting hair took 3hours till we were called. There is no rhyme or reason to their sign in sheet, get it together.

Stumbled across this place randomly while searching for a barber to line up my beard, I went it and was approached by Emilio who was friendly and listened to what I wanted. While talking he convinced me to get a haircut which I was hesitant as I am very particular about my haircuts, needless to say he did an awesome job and really impressed me with his skills. This guy can fade and hooked it up high and tight!!! I definitely recommend Emilio and plan on getting my haircuts by him from now on. He took his time and listened to what I wanted and at the end my hair looked perfect and for a great price!
The Shop is clean and the owner Raymond was very friendly and made me feel welcomed. Overall I was impressed with his Shop and appreciate his work ethic as it is hard to find a good Barbershop in this town. Thank you Raymond for setting the bar higher than most barbershops in Bakersfield.

First time here today and was very Impressed! Eddie Faded my head and did an outstanding job! Shop was very clean and Employees were very professional! Would definitely recommend this place! All ages and sizes welcome. Haircut was 12.00 and spent about 30 mins in the chair. Tips are appreciated but not required.
