Strength and Health Gym

I’ve work out in this gym off and on since its original owners Cliff then Ed and sister ran the place, those were the glory days of this gym. I trained hard to set state records at this place and even was taught how to properly dead lift from Eds dad. Back then the place had a special feeling about it that made you glad and pump to be there! Now this new owner has let it turn to a shitty place. It is so ridiculously filled with so much antique workout machines that you cant even walk two feet without falling over something, no exaggeration! But regardless I stuck up for this place and even tried to talk some of the old power lifter to come back. (Yo TRIBE) But I’m through with this fucking place, today this worker bitches me out because I got chalk on the floor. This gym has always been the one place you could go to sling some gym chalk and make some noise and really get into your work out unlike those fucking fancy gyms. I don’t know what the problem was? maybe he was afraid I was going to get chalk on the fucking dog hairs that accumulate from the owners dog that roams freely in the gym, no lie the place smells like wet dog all the time. Anyway I returned my member ship card and have no intentions on returning to this shit hole. I sure miss Ed and family! They new how to run the place! Much Respect to them.

The drop-​in fee is $ 3 now, but still very little change here, still all the old awesome equipment, and racks and racks of free weights. The new outdoor patio area is a cool idea!

This was a great gym until. The new owner mark bought the place. One of the most unprofessional business owners I have ever met. I was sitting in my car in front of the gym after a work out drinking a protein shake when he pulled up to the gym in a uhaul truck and hit/​scraped the side of my car. He got out of the truck and continued to walk inside the gym. When I got out of my car and said «Marty, where are you going? You just hit my car!» he replied «no I didn’t» so I showed him the damage and he laughed and said «well I will deny everything» so I asked him for his insurance info and he gave me a receipt for a drink order for his gym and said «don’t make a big deal about this» and he told me not to come back to his gym (this is a couple day after I renewed my membership) l have been going to this gym long before he was even in the picture and this is how he treats his members BE WARNED THIS IS A VERY SHADY PERSON AND WILL TRY TO BEAT YOU FOR MONEY ANY WAY HE CAN. This is not over exaggerated in anyway I have pictures and text msg to document everything. I am still in shock that this even happened. And he lives at the gym and has a son that runs around the gym like it’s his playground. He stopped buying chalk and replaced it with a «cement mixing compound» and said its still chalk. He took away the towels they the gym always provided and uses windex for a sanitary spray. And mostly He has turned the gym into his house not a work out environment VERY UNPROFESSIONAL !!!
