Before I moved over to the northwest side of town, I used to take my dry cleaning to the Today Cleaners on White Lane. One particular employee that I got to know was named Devonne. This guy recognized me and greeted me by name every single time I visited the store. I didn’t have to tell him what I wanted — he had it memorized. He seemed to be a very conscientious employee. He personified the type of personal customer service that inspires loyalty and makes people want to come back. I don’t know if he still works there, and wouldn’t be surprised to hear that he’s been promoted to a management position. This guy seemed to have it figured out for sure, and although I’ve been to the northwest Today Cleaners on numerous occasions since moving back in September 2015, they have yet to recognize me or know my name. It’s just pretty cool to see someone go the extra mile and I thought he deserved a shout out so I thought I’d post this review. Today Cleaners administration: if you really pay any attention to these kinds of posts, do yourselves a HUGE favor and promote Devonne! I’m sure that his service orientation and personal attention to detail would be infectious to those who would work for him, so put that guy in charge! Bakersfield needs more people like him!

Everything I have read about this place is right. It is awful. I used them for the first time today and when I went to pick up my suit and dress shirt, I found that they did do anything to my dress shirt at all. They just put it in a bag as thought is was pressed and cleaned. My suit was covered in leaves ans twigs and that ISJUSTWEIRD! How did they get tree all over my suit?.. o_O 1:12 p.m. Okay, so I left this review to go over there and speak with them. The manager said she doesn’t know what happened and said it was not them nor was it like that when I picked it up. As if these things magically got into the bag and pressed into the suit while in my truck for 1 block? She also lied about the shirt and said it was pressed and the wrinkles I saw(And filmed when I opened the bag for the review) was not really there either. Why did I pay twice as much money for this place not to do their job, refuse to admit it was them, and then call me a liar? She offered to do it again free of charge, but the damage has been done and I had to show up to the funeral with a crappy looking suit. Plus why give them the suit again if they don’t do anything with them? I am calling corporate. BTW, this is not the only review on this place. When I Googled it I saw two others and didn’t realized they were not Unilocal.I am not going to repeat them, but Google it and you will see I should had known better then to give this place a chance.
