The cheeseburger had an awful taste not to mention the lettuce looked and tasted old. The fries had an awful smell to them even with ketchup they weren’t appetizing. Low standard cheeseburger.

Not impressed. I thought I was in for a treat since the sign read«Tommie’s world famous burgers» The bread on the burger was dry and not fresh at all. The meat was hard. I couldn’t finish it. The steak fries were delicious though.

Yikes. I went to UCLA so I know Tommie’s. I ate there many of my drunken nights crawling back from Westwood and have lasting love for the joint. I felt nostalgic seeing a Tommie’s in Bakersfield. That should’ve been my first clue. I had only had Tommie’s in Westwood and at their original location so maybe I’ve been spoiled. But this was not only the worst Tommie’s, it was probably the worst burger place I’ve ever been to. First off, there was no one at the counter for a good 2 minutes. This is supposed to be fast-food. Then when she did come out she was the most unpleasant person I’ve seen in a while. She must not be happy she’s employed. The tomato slice was bigger than my burger and the chili was spread like there was a shortage. All I could taste was tomato in every bite, and a hint of chili. I don’t recollect ever tasting burger. That wasn’t the worst part. I thought I could forget about my burger and enjoy the chili cheese fries, but I was wrong. The fries tasted like they were buried in a salt bucket. Even the chili couldn’t counter all the salt on the fries. They were so bad I only ate 4 – 5 fries. Do yourself a favor and never come to this one. Drive 2 hours to LA and eat at a real Tommie’s.

Not as good as I remember. Had a double chili burger. Chili was still good, but the burger was more like cardboard. Maybe a standalone place would be better the one in the mall.
