Great pizza! Delicious chile verde! Get a pitcher of soda to save more money! Some machines do not work and the workers will not give the money back.

The pizza is so delicious, but they nickel and dime you like money grubbers. Refills on drinks aren’t free, and the larger the cup, the higher the cost of a refill. It’s like they are pressuring you to get a tiny cup. I’ve only ever gone for parties, and I’d never personally choose to go there on my own. Way too expensive.

The owner is rude and does not care about the customer. Horrible business man. I would go on about the situation… I talked to the owner and he could care less. Pizza is overpriced and the store is old and dirty! I will never do business with them! Awful awful awful! Spend your money somewhere else!!!

We have been patrons of Tony’s for well over 10 years. Last night we had the worst experience with zero resolve at the Coffee Rd location. I ordered 2 medium pizzas and when I get home our cheese pizza was missing cheese on a huge portion of the pizza. My husband called to see if there was anyway we could get credit or a coupon for our next visit. He was told he could drive down there AGAIN to pick up a new one. We had just got home from a 5 hour trip and did not want to waste or time and gas to go all the way back for another pizza, not to mention our other pizza would be cold by the time we returned. He asked if he could speak to the manager and was told that they only are there in the mornings or show up randomly. So he asked that he be called tomorrow morning when they got in. My husband was upset on the phone and the girl begin to laugh at him which was extremely unprofessional and unnecessary. We never received a call back the next morning. My husband called down there around 5pm and was told that the owner is a very busy man and that they did the best they could by offering to remake our pizza. We will NEVER return. Bums me out because it is one of our favorite pizza parlors to frequent. This all could’ve been prevented with a simple call from management. We were more upset at being laughed at like we are some kind of joke than the pizza itself. UPDATE **owner called 2 days later and offered us a credit or gift certificate. We declined but appreciate the call back. Hopefully his managers will handle things more professionally**

More than enough chances Have now visited three of the Tony’s pizzas in Bakersfield. California Avenue, Mt. Vernon and Coffee road. All I can say is this… For those of you that order the combination pizza and believe they really loaded it with cheese… YOU’REWRONG… That is uncooked pizza dough. The last time we visited Tony’s(which I truly believed was the best in town) was about four months ago and it was at their Mt. Vernon location. On that visit our combo was AGAIN uncooked. The BBQ Chicken was also not cooked properly. Last weekend my wife and I took our Son, Daughter-in-law and our grand baby for a special treat, although reluctant(For good reason) Coffee Road was a good location choice for us and them. I ordered a large combo, large chili Verde, salad bar for one and four Dr. Peppers. The staff was very sweet and professional. We went over to the drink station and asked for our four Dr. Peppers and the Girls got us a table and high chair. We all started to drink our sodas when we realized they were all Pepsi. Not a major deal, we took them back up and the nice young lady apologized and said let me make the change. Good so far(kinda) buzzer went off and my Son and I brought the pizzas to the table. You have no idea how bad I wanted the pizza to be good… Again NOTCOOKED… ARE you kidding me??? The chili verde pizza was cooked however they have changed something because even it was not as it used to be. Our Daughter-in-laws salad was great(How do you screw up a salad bar?) TONY… TONYPLEASEFIXTHISPROBLEM. I don’t know if your staff doesn’t know how to cook a pizza or as I was told months ago on Mt. Vernon«we are having a problem with our oven» but please get it right! I am really tired of spending my hard earned money on CRAP.

Great pizza. Great location for meetings and parties as they have reservable rooms. This location has video games if that is important to you. Lots of parking in front and overflow parking in back. I think they are a little pricey but not the most expensive and not unreasonable. I’ve eaten here many times and will continue eating here. While I love this place, it’s not my favorite. Still prefer Pizzaville and slice of Italy over this place.

Not great by any means. Expensive and poor quality. Got a half pep Half chile verde with extra cheese. If this was extra cheese I would hate to see what regular cheese looks like. Lots of crust had nothing but sauce, no other toppings. Would not go back. The extra star is for the people working there. All three of the people I interacted with were super nice.

I’ve been a long time Tonys pizza fan since back in the day when I used to live in Delano and this location is just as good as the others. Their pizza always taste good, they prepare it fast, good location and the people working the counter are always friendly.

Called and asked if they had any coupons or family specials, the person on the phone said«we don’t offer those» .lol what kind of pizza place doesn’t have a special or a coupon. Magoos has specials and pizza is just as goods

First time at this place. It was the last as well. The staff was rude, continually asking what i wanted to order when i said we were not ready. Whispering to each other and laughing. I did not like that it cost for refills. The pizza was okay but the«chicken» was odd shaped chicken nugget like and you could tell it was microwaved. Not fried. Potato wedges were not cooked well. Save the trip. Don’t go there

We called once and found out they do not deliver. Bummer. We picked one up one day and the pizza was not bad. It is not like the Tony’s version at the Tejon Outlets which is likely the best slices in this whole area, IMO. Delicious. I did like the crispy/chewy crust at the Coffee Rd location. The toppings were loaded on. Quality — meh. The pineapple was bright yellow. Green peppers, overdone and charred. Cheese, I did not love it, a bit too runny. The black olives were super mushy. I love pizza sauce for dipping but we ended up throwing the little container out that they gave us — it was simply thick tomato paste with no seasoning. Not appetizing. If not for the yuummy crust, this would be a 2 star review for me. It is no better that Rusty’s — at least Rusty’s delivers. Prices average. Counter service was friendly and offered the little packets of cheese and red pepper flakes to go.

Brought the grandkids for a lunch time treat during the week only to be greeted by not so friendly counter staff. I was kind of taken a back by the snippiness of her attitude for an afternoon shift when it was dead in there. Maybe if they were slammed with screaming kids, rowdy teenagers or drunk sports fans, but grandparents with two little ones. Hmm? But I ordered the lunch special and moved on. Received the drink pitcher and cups found a seat and endlessly supplied the little ones with quarters to fulfill their dreams of wonderment of what was to be found in those vending machines and video games. Then the pizza and wedges were ready. The pizza was thin and greasy but the crust edge wasn’t bad. The wedges were just frozen skin on steak fries that came with a cup of ranch. We chose pepperoni pizza I guess maybe if we chose another type of pizza maybe it would of not been so greasy. We might try it again because I hear it’s pretty good, but this experience wasn’t good!

Tried it once and found it horrible. It didn’t smell right, nor did it taste good. Dough felt like rubber. Tried it again to give it another chance, and turns out to be the same result. Ruins your stomach! Their pizza sauce on the side is also more like tomato purée than sauce. Never, ever going back. Save yourselves and get some proper pizza.

This is the best pizza chain in Kern County. Don’t even bother with other places. Other places provide crusts that are too chewy, too crispy, can’t hold their sauce, or are insignificant. In addition, sauces elsewhere can be weak and insubstantial. As for Tony’s, that’s not the case. Other than a deliciously competent crust, that pairs with a lusciously daring, yet behaved sauce, a patron can tell that Tony’s spends slightly more to get toppings that make an impact on their perfectly done pizzas. Come here, or forever hold your piece… of pizza.

this place has been a top 3 choice for our family since they have been open. I am happy that they have gone back to their original style of pizza because it seemed like they strayed away from the original with less toppings and not the primo stuff either. They have multiple televisions at this location with a below average selection of games for the children or the young adult. The place is kept up and is always clean. This place has a decent selection for pizza at a reasonable price and I believe they are the creators of chili verde pizza or at least the only ones that do it right.
