We called ahead to confirm they would take our scrap metal. My husband went that same day, and the refused to take it because they needed a receipt showing we had purchased it. They could have told us this over the phone, especially since my husband asked specifically if they took it. So he went a second time to drop it off, to be told he would not get the money for 2 days. Very unprofessional. If they had been upfront with their procedures it would be ok, but they aren’t.

This is where I go to recycle all of my CA CRV materials. My recycling system at home separates CRV from non-​CRV and then separates CRV items into: aluminum, plastics, and glass. This makes it simple to recycle here because they require separate bins for those three items.
Plastics and cans go into the wire bins and glass goes into the plastic bins. As far as I know, they offer a competitive price for your recyclables. Don’t wear anything nice here, you’re bound to step in old beer or soda. It’s a scrap yard after all.
