I forgot to take a picture before I started eating because they were delicious as usual! I can never be disappointed with the chili cheese fries here. Today for the first time I tried them with bacon and oh my goodness! It was amazing! I definitely will be trying these again.

Although not in a beautiful neighborhood, this place is the oldest wienerschitzel in bakersfield. I think its even seen in an old film with Buck Owens or Clint Eastwood or somebody. Kind of a Bakersfield culinary historical landmark i guess. The food is standard Wienerschnitzel, which = Yum!(to my unsophisticated palate of youth) They have different specials so you can get a bunch of food for cheap, but my all time favorite are the chili fries. So insanely bomb. With the melted cheese and onions, i would include in my last meal before i die. Chili dogs with cheese are also an old favorite and i really like the cornbready outside of the corn dogs, which are inexpensive. Overall: For what it is, a good old-fashioned hotdog stand with some outdoor seating and often nice music playing. I feel like i’m in a different decade. I stop by when i’m in the neighborhood.

This location is a bit shaky, expect to be asked for change and/or solicited something other than chili. The food is usually good, what you expect from any other Schnitzel. My only complaint is the owner who often works the drive-thru– charges for a cup of water and is hesitant to give up condiments and/or napkins. He’s running a very tight budget over there– good for his wallet, bad for customer service.
