Food is delicious, service is consistently poor. Recent called 30 minutes ahead for a party of 6, celebrating an engagement. Upon arrival, waited an additional 70 minutes. Upon being seated, it took 15 minutes for drinks to arrive. The waitress brought one meal after the appetizers but before the other 5 meals. therefore one person sat while everyone else had their dinner . The waitress never asked if we wanted coffee or dessert. It was an hour and 40 minute wait for a 2 hour dinner that did not include dessert or coffee. I love the food but will only order take out from this point on. I did call the owner the next day, who remembered that the food was not served at the same time, however he was not particularly receptive.

Went to Olives and Peppers for dinner on a Tuesday night. The place is small but nicely arranged. Parking lot could use some work. The menu has a good variety of your typical Italian foods and plenty of craft beers to choose from. Our server Mariska was very friendly and attentive to all our needs. She recommended the strozzapretti and we were not disappointed. The pasta, breadsticks, sauces, and soup were fresh and absolutely delicious. Complements to the chef! The portions are ginormous which explains the higher prices. Overall great experience, will go back again.

Great food on previous occasions but we call for 45 minutes for take out and no one would answer the phone.

Pretty much anything on the menu is good. Their lasagna is amazing and so is the linguine and clams and the linguine pollini. Great pizza as well and the chicken parm is really good too.

O&P, what happened? Was being on top tpp much to handle? Sigh. Gone is the Ceasar salad. What italian restaurant doesn’t have a Ceasar salad?! Now I can get a tossed salad with Ceasar dressing? No, no. That’s not acceptable. Also gone is the garlic bread appetizer. What once was a half loaf of Italian bread slathered in butter and garlic, toasted to golden brown, and served with marinara sauce is now soggy, half-toasted, sliced bread and no dipping sauce. The pasta was mushy and overcooked. A sin by Italian standards. The tomato sauce now tastes like it came out of a can rather than the bright tomatoes, garlic, and basil that I remember. What I find most egregious is the price hike with the decline in quality. Vergognati!

I have been ordering Olives and Peppers for years. Literally best pizza in town. My family comes in town from Arkansas, California, and they ask about olives and peppers. How this doesn’t have 5 stars is beyond me. I live downtown Pittsburgh and this is the best pizza in town.

More like 1 ½ stars. Service was rushed and not very friendly. Unfortunately, that was the high point of the meal. Waited about a half hour to get seated. Not a big joint, so that’s expected. When we did get seated, the waitress wasn’t very friendly– seemed frazzled. Didn’t get bread while we waited but other tables did. We last ate here right after it opened and loved it. Today, the food was pretty tasteless. Got a margarita pizza. Sauce had nothing going on. No spice. Not fresh tasting. Tasted like a can of tomato sauce. And way too much cheese for this style of pizza. Also got the crab ravioli. It came swimming in oil/butter. Wasn’t impressed. For some reason we had the(significant) leftovers wrapped. However, we never ate them.

Food is good but service is usually bad. Take out is a huge risk. They always miss something or screw up the order. Tonight they forgot the garlic bread. When I asked for it they gave me 2 slices of uncooked bread with garlic and butter spread on it. I guess they expect me to cook it myself.

Food… five stars, Service… zero. HORRIBLY slow service. Only half the tables full at 3 pm Saturday afternoon. and it took almost 2 hours to eat. They totally forgot our salad and brought our entrée first! Waited 40 minutes for the appetizer. A number of things on the menu are not available. Ever. Had to ask for bread, water. They never cleared our dirty plates when they served dessert. Had to eat a cannoli with a used pasta dish staring at me. Pitiful and disgusting. Really a shame the service is so bad because the food is phenomenal.

Friends had highly recommended this restaurant & we headed over for my husband’s birthday last week. It fronts Route 8 but, the GPS routed us around the back of the building which was useful with all the traffic on 8 south. We started with their sausage & bean soup with crispy Italian bread croutons. This soup was perfection!!! The spice level was great & it packed so much flavor into every bite. We were both a bit sorry we got cups instead of bowls. When I told our server Mary Ann it was awesome, she said, «I KNOW, RIGHT???» My chicken and garlic ravioli was a great dinner choice. The sauce was complex, nicely garlicky and provided multiple components of delight all the way to the very end. Hubby got a birthday extravaganza with the Italian Sampler that literally included everything: spaghetti & meatball, lasagna, chicken parm, manicotti, etc. Birthday Boy had a huge smile inhaling as much as he could & we had enough leftovers to share which reheated really well. The meatball & lasagna were my personal faves on that plate and their marinara sauce is legit. The best discovery is that a lot of what they make here is to die for and yes, we will be back!!!

Tonight was a huge disappointment. Online they say they are opened until 10pm. At 8:56pm we walked in(other tables were still seated) and we were told the kitchen closes at 9am. «Okay» we said, knowing it was just a few minutes prior, but assumed a local restaurant would be happy to serve loyal patrons. Well, we were wrong. After awkwardly waiting for a seat we were told they won’t serve us. Thanks for nothing. Suggestions: An establishment should not publicize that they are opened until 10pm if a guest cannot begin to enjoy service past nine. It should say opened until 9. NINE.

We had take out, It was very busy inside. If you are planning on eating there, you might want to use the call ahead seating. It puts your name on the list. You will still wait, just not as long. The only thing that was a problem for us was that we ordered garlic bread with cheese and the cheeses was stuck to the box. Everything else was good. I had the lobster ravioli, it was stuffed with lobster and the sauce was great.

Some of the BEST pizza around. Small and intimate. Love the stuffed peppers, and Cakzones. It’s all good here!

I had no idea this place existed even though I’ve driven past it repeatedly. I’m not a huge fan of Italian food as most of the places I’ve been to offer just variations of pasta and sauce. But I was very pleased in the variety of food they have there, especially seafood. I had the blue crab ravioli and my wife had salmon salad. The ravioli was perfect: a very simple garlic butter sauce with shaved parmesan. It was very tasty and filling, though I could have used some vegetables with it. I could have ordered the salad rather than the soup(a spicy minestrone) but the soup was great. My wife’s salad was ok, nothing too exciting but good. We didn’t get bread with the meal which I thought was fine. I’d rather not fill up on cheap bread before my meal. Definitely will come back. It is small and cozy, but they also can accommodate groups. I’ts very understated. You can go casual or dressy, whatever your mode is of the day. I noticed lots of families with kids there — the pizza must be good!

This was my third time to Olives and Peppers. This time I went with three male coworkers. Two of ordered spicy Diablo mussels. The mussels were not spicy but still good. Serving was large. I had the salad with homemade Italian dressing? I never had thick homemade Italian but will take the waitresses word that it was homemade. The reason I gave it a two was that when my male coworker asked for a box she took his food and boxed it for him. When I asked to have mine to go as well, she went to the back and tossed a container to me. I felt that this was rude and unprofessional. Management did not seem to care when I later brought it to their attention. I am HUGE on customer service and will not be returning there anytime soon.

Awesome little spot for great Italian food. They only do call ahead in weekends, which is a bummer, and the place is small, so expect a long wait. It’s well worth it though. Great beer and wine selection. Amazing food, all home cooked and delicious. Some of the best Italian I’ve had. Very reasonably priced. I definitely recommend it, though I think next time I’ll get it to go, to avoid the long wait and no reservations.

The food here is so delicious. It is worth the wait. I recommend going at lunchtime there is less of a wait. Every morning the owner goes to the south side to pick up fresh ingredients for their food. Everything is homemade and fresh. So delish! Also, the restraunt is small and intimate. Perfect for dates or getting together with friends but not necessarily best for kids. The place is a little pricey but you get what you pay for. One large calzone feed me and my friend two meals a piece. Some courses I feel are a little small for price but overall the portions are quit large!!! PS. Try the calzones!

A nice place to go for lunch or dinner, as long as you can wait or get there before the crowd. The dinner room is very very small and intimate which I really like. There are not many restaurants I have been to with such a small dinner room, but it makes you feel very cozy. They have pasta specials which are inexpensive for a good lunch meal. I have tried their Alfredo, meatballs, and pepperoni pizza which were all delicious. All their sauces taste very fresh and homemade, and anything I have ordered from here has come out quickly, be it lunch or dinner. Working in Gibsonia there are not many restaurant choices so this is a good change from the chain restaurants in the area. The parking lot is super small and very awkward shaped so be careful of that!
