The Grill at Bal Harbour

Just really unimpressed with this place and wishing we didn’t waste a dinner here! So warning you not to waste your Miami meal here either!
Staying at St Regis across the street from the shops and wanted to eat off property. Concierge made reservations for us.
At first we were sat at this awkward 4 top and literally next to this awkward table was a cute little 2 top that they said we could have so we moved there.
We ordered our food and I’m not joking it came out within 5 — 10 minutes. Shockingly fast! We later ordered bread bc the meals don’t come with anything and those 2 pieces of focaccia took 20+ minutes! Weird!
I had the vegetable chopped salad and I don’t recommend it! $ 18 for no meat just a very small salad for that price!
Husband had the red snapper with broccoli and mashed potatoes. It was just okay.
We ordered the bread bc we were still hungry and it took way too long to get there! Way too long!
Service was attentive and Cory was great but the meal was just not worth it!

We had reservations and were almost immediately sat, despite the restaurant being busy. Everything we ordered was delicious and the wait staff was very attentive, especially our waitress Paige. The only criticism is that the drinks were very pricey. Great find, and they validate parking!

Amazing service… Seriously. Great lunch and hand crafted drinks were on point. Liz, hector and Nathan provided exceptional service, will definitely only dine here when back in the area.

The service was excellent. Food was great the portion sizes were large. Very satisfied with this restaurant! We ordered 4 pieces of bread and they only had 3 left so they gave it to us for free definitely good customer service!

Disastrous service. 45′ waiting for our meal. Poor service. And TOO LOUD.

I never write reviews but I could not pass up praising the hell out of this amazing restaurant. I went on my lunch break and ordered the cheeseburger (which I had for the first time three days prior). I ordered it medium but when it came out, it was well done. I don’t eat meat often (yes, three days ago but that’s how amazing it was) but when I do, I want it MR or Medium. I asked the bartender, Tammy, if this was medium and she quickly replied no and removed my plate. I told her to pack it to go since my break was almost over. When she returned, not only was my burger cooked to perfection, they had included a complimentary dessert and picked up the tab for their mistake. I insisted that I pay for my meal but they wouldn’t hear of it

I have worked in many restaurants in my life and THIS is what excellent customer service is… Bravo, The Grill! You’ve made me and everyone I tell fans!!! Thank you, Tammy for making this one of my new lunch spots!

I had some time to kill at Bal Harbour and stumbled across a treasure… Blakely gave me honest advice about the best meal to order and Tammy poured the meanest martini I’ve had in a long time (even in Anguilla). I would strongly recommend this place for multiple purposes… Business meeting… Casual beverage… Intimate meal… lunch or dinner

Good food with great service. I’ve tried a bunch of different things here and most of the time I’m super happy. Even the omelet is very good! Avoid the chicken and kale salad though, it’s tiny and bland. Dover Sole is a good choice when they have it.
Don’t skip the green BS they put on the side of the meat dishes, it’s always good.

Fantastic Dinner !!! We are from So. California so when we found out this Restaurant was affiliated with the Houston’s Restaurant Group we had to try it. I had the South Carolina Beef Ribs and my wife had the Rib Eye and they were both fantastic… Our server, Hector was great!!!

Let me say I have been working in Bal Harbour shops for on and off 4 yrs now and its about time a perfectly executed resturant with impeccable service and zero pretention and fresh simple to the point dishes that are consistent and delicious.
I came on my lunch break with only 30 – 45 min to eat and go back to work. 30 minutes passed I was suprised as this has never happened to me and I asked bartender the status of my burger as im on a break. She came back very apologetic relaying the kitchen remade my dish because the temperature of my burger was not to standard… ill admit i was annoyed but didnt even express that besides wondering when my delish burger would arrive! i was starving!!! but in minutes the most incredible burger came out! Fresh cut in two perfect halves held together by sticks making it mess free! It was trully perfection i urge you eat the $ 18 burger!!! Its perfection simple to the point tasty not fancified and overdone!
The gracious bartender then said my meal would be complimentary! And apologized again making sure i had everything i needed including a to go box in case i couldnt finish… it gets better as im about to leave the chef comes out to make sure my meal was great apologizing again for the wait! I was trully touched and appreciated this rare form of customer care and service…
Let me tell you as a Miami native this level of customer service and genuine cocncern and service is rare! The grill is a perfectly run resturant the food is amazing and the service is hands down impressive!
I recommend that amazing burger! Crab Cakes! And the chicken sandwhich you wont regret it!

This place is consistantly great! The service is a ¹⁰⁰⁄₁₀ and so is the food. Located in the exclusive Bal Harbor shops, its always a good treat to dine here.
Today i had the Thai Salad that consisted of steak tips with semi spicy thai noodles stir fried with veggies and has a cilantro kick to it. The salad is cold but the spice turns the heat up a notch. Its so good. The rest of the party had the Filet Mignon cooked to perfection served with brocolli and real mashed potatoes. Someone else had fish topped with shrimp.
All meals were great. Drinks are made with fresh ingredients and always on point. The highlight would have to be the dessert, Tres Leches served with fresh fruits. The whip cream is thick and not the traditional whipped cream used for this dish. Ohhh so good. Its always worth coming here.

Having lunch with my dearest friends and sisters. This was a very special occasion getting us all together to have lunch in this beautiful restaurant. We let the hostess know we would be sitting and talking for quite a while. She was most understanding and very polite and cordial. She sat us in a booth next to the window looking outside at beautiful Bal Harbour. What a beautiful day, the sun is shining brightly with a beautiful breeze flowing through an open window. Most people are freezing up north and we were so blessed to be here and together. A very special day…
We started with their famous Heavenly Biscuits, a hint of Rosemary is baked into this light, fluffy biscuits. Top them off with real butter and honey and we had a winner. My dear sister ordered her favorite the Shrimp Louie, she loves this salad. I don’t eat shellfish, but she raves how delicious it is, and always orders this salad when we come here. My other sister and I ordered our favorite the Chopped Vegetable Salad., the combination of avocado, roasted beets, grapes, egg, macadamia nuts and fresh herbs is ingenious to the palate… Always a winner with us.
Several hours later we ordered cappuccinos. They use a special blend of beans that we just love. Thank you for making our special day so grand, and for always making us feel welcome no matter how long we sat in the booth. Will be back next time we are all together!

Definitely a must try restaurant! Around 3pm there was an hour wait for 5 to sit in the restaurant so we decided to sit at the bar. The bartender was extremely sweet and helpful. She recommended we try the cheeseburger since that is the most popular. Wow was she right!!! Delicious.
Only issue was my husband stated he couldn’t have any seeds inside his burger so the bartender was more then happy to make a new burger for him, which was extremely thoughtful. When the new burger came, it had no onions but still included the seeds. We decided to pick them out instead of having a 3^rd burger made. Overall, food was excellent!

Burger and chicken sandwich are soft and flavorful. Good place for lunch. Nice patio. Service is excellent.

Excellent service and great atmosphere in this second story new restaurant at Bal Harbor Shops. Very nice and airy design with the kitchen visible from the mall concourse through glass walls. Once inside you’ll feel very welcome. Everyone on staff is unfailingly cheerful and helpful that you can’t feel but lifted.
This is part of the Hillstone Restaurant group, which also owns Houston’s. There are many similarities in the menu. One thing for sure, the food is consistently good. Always fresh.
For a quick lunch, have a seat at the bar for a view of the dining room and beyond. No matter who is tending bar, be ready to chat.

I had been anticipating this opening for the longest time.
Located on the 2^nd floor of the Bal Harbour Shops, this modern and chic American eatery is a must try after you’ve shopped until you dropped. You have either option of dining inside or outside at the alfresco patio bar. I personally prefer the bar as it feels more cozy to me. Reservations are strongly suggested if you choose to dine for dinner since it can get very packed at night. Especially on weekends.
Their american cuisine on the other hand isn’t shy of satisfactory. Every time I’ve gone their meals have come out consistent and Michelin Star worthy. A few of my favorites are the Ahi Tuna Tartare as a starter, Ding’s Cripsy Chicken Sandwich which is available for lunch and their Prime New York Strip which is available for dinner. For dessert their illegally delicious Hot Fudge Sundae will have you coming back for more. If you’re a coffee lover like myself, I strongly suggest ordering an espresso to pair with their dessert. Their coffee is the best in the Bal Harbour area.

Real nice spot. I was staying at the St. Regis and I was looking for a spot close by to enjoy a meal. I didn’t have reservations so I couldn’t sit in the main dining area, but their bar area has first come-​first serve seating which was just as nice.
I had a cheeseburger (real legit), fries and an El Presidente. The barkeep was full of useful information about the area and the food came out quick. I was pleased and will come back next time I’m in Miami!

This restaurant is exceptional! Everything was absolutely amazing! After shopping in the Bal Harbour with my mother in law, we decided to eat in the mall as opposed to leaving. Can we say best decision I’ve made all week! The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. The manager, Alika (spellcheck) she was great. I had to breastfeed my son and she was able to make me feel comfortable in helping me find a place in where I would be comfortable and going out of her way for me. I took my son to the patio to do so, the bartender there a young lady, black hair, she was also very nice. Offered to get me anything I needed. Our server Anthony from Orlando was also very good! He was all smiles the entire time.
The place was not too packed so it was a nice relaxed atmosphere.
Definitely recommend coming here if you happen to be in shopping.
What to get, the biscuits! Do yourself the favor it is «worth the wait»

The burger was super juicy, you could taste the good quality
The ribs! Their mustard bbq sauce was a dream. I would buy a bottle of it if I could
It was a great surprises to have enjoyed the restaurant that much and having gotten such great service after shopping.

My favorite place in FL and denver. Food is amazing, try the crab cake salad, is the best, something different, mix of flavors (graprefruit plus avocado, corn, special dreassing and the best crab cake). Theirs steak is outstanding, food is fresh, their burgers and salads …
Dessert is amazing have try the key lime pie and tres leches, all is fresh from the day. The bar outside is the best environment. And the service is outstanding .
