I just moved 2 Covina so I needed a 99 store 2 grab things I need 4 my new place. This place is literally the worse 99cent store I’ve ever been 2. I’ve been here twice and both times the people who work here are awful. The 1st time I came here was yesterday, I was looking 4 hangers. When I couldn’t find them, I asked the lady where I can find them and she was so rude about it. She said she didn’t know and 2 check aisle 8. She was wrong, it was aisle 9. Now today is the 2nd time I’ve been here, 1st I asked this guy who looks like a kid if they carried potatoe peelers since I couldn’t find them, he said whatever we have is here while walking away 2 the back. I didn’t ask where were they since the kitchen stuff was in front of my face. It was a yes or no if they carried it. So I had a cart full of stuff. I can honestly say it was probably over $ 200. I left for 1 second 2 grab something that was 5ft away, when I got back it was gone. I looked all over for it till I saw it in the front. Someone dropped the whole cart and when I told the same lady I saw yesterday that it was my cart, all she said was I shouldn’t have used that cart because it was broken. If I was able 2 use it the whole time I was there, how was it that I didn’t drop it but someone who actually works there, drops it??? I threw the item I had in my hand along with everything that was in my cart and walked out. No thanks! This lady is around her 50’s and only speaks Spanish. She’s the rudest lady I have ever encountered. She literally shouldn’t be working there or anywhere with an attitude like that.

This 99 cents store never has enough cashiers open they know that they are always busy and they only have 2 cashiers most of the time and the lines are crazy long especially around the holidays so if you go around that time u need to have patience to wait in line

Good place to get movie snacks and other little things you may need, the problem with this one is that there so many solicitors. I prefer to go to the one o Vincent and San Bernardino road, it’s a bit better than this one, what can you say it’s a 99 cent store.

Shh, yes I shop here. With the economy now, why pay for more when you can get it for under a buck, for the same exact thing? Just really look at the expiration date.

You can’t beat the price … Everything is 99 cents. The store is always crowded — they need to add more checkout areas. The area is ghetto — always have low — life individuals hanging around the main entrance and in the parking lot. Shop early before the crowds start shopping.

Better than the one in El Monte! This store is super huge! Very impressed with it! Offer greater items! But their organization is off. Overall, a fan. :)

I love the 99 Cents Only Stores!!! The 99 Cents Only Stores is a crown jewel in my hood, a great place to scavenge for lots of awesome bargains and treasures at everyday cheap-cheap prices, nothing priced over 99 cents(before any applicable 9.25% sales tax)! It’s a GLORIFIED dollar store, oops I meant 99 cents store, where I can shop til I drop and not break the bank, especially in this tough economy. I can walk a few blocks from my extended family’s pad and I’m here! This large superstore puts the Dollar Tree to shame, where I shop on the East Coast. The layout of the store is pretty organized and I can find what I need easily and the staff is friendly. They sell thousands of items including household products, paper goods, decorations, party supplies, school supplies, seasonal items, lawn & garden, books, tools, DVDs, CDs, health & beauty aids, medicines, toys, cards, books, candy, snacks, groceries, beverages, apparel, closeout items, and much more. They also have frozen foods and a small selection of produce in the back left corner of the store. The items here are of good quality, but I do read the labels carefully to find out where each product is made since there are a lot of generic/no name brands here. Most of the stuff is made in China of course, some of the bath items and toothpastes are made in Mexico and Canada, and the some of the food come from other countries including the pastas from Mexico. I went shopping here with my extended family and we spent a good hour here shopping around for such everyday items as Banquet frozen dinners, juice, milk, strawberries, lemons, dozen eggs, jar sauces, canned goods, ramen noodles, shampoo, cups, plates, gift bags, socks, and other miscellaneous items. For myself, I picked up a very cool Homer Simpson Talking Pen, a 99 Cents Only Store inflatable beach ball, a Dukes of Hazzard DVD(best of episodes), a MadTV DVD(best of episodes), and a very colorful 5 pack of delightful«Hannah Montana» pens. I ran out of pens at home, hehe. You can get the«Best of Both Worlds» here: Bargain priced groceries/essentials and cheap cool stuff under one roof!
