Disgusting, I sat at the counter ordered a cheese omelet when one of the dishwasher said out loud !!! roach !!! And killed it with a napkin, the damn thing was crawling around on the counter too … Disgusting … Thought I was going to puke

Great, cozy place to eat… Excellent and courteous staff and prompt service when you arrive…

It really upsets me that I have to do this but.. . Went tonight, place was empty, ordered matzo ball soup and chicken quesadillas. Matzoh ball soup was not hot, the broth looked unappetizing and had a fatty flavor to it because it’s not hot. Quesadillas were a soggy mess, they forgot my fries, ok, human error, could happen to anyone. Only got one napkin per person for such a messy meal, then had to find my waiter again for additional napkins. Needless to say I will most likely not be returning after this visit. I understand if it would have been busy, but it wasn’t. Quality has taken a nosedive and like most places in Baldwin it’s survivability is questionable.

Dirty plates, food not very good, hardly seasoned at all. To be honest had a hard time eating it. Stopped in for quick meal on our way home.

Diner may not be glitzy but it should not mean burnt, dry and bland. But that about sums up my breakfast from here today. They won’t see me nor my money again. Yuck!

Haven’t been in awhile, so I thought I would give it a try again. Dingy, obviously nothing has been done about making it any way attractive. Unsmiling host who seemed to be put off by my presence. That have jacked all the prices up, of course. Food was mediocre at best. Never again!

Sorry to say will not be going back. My Fiancé and I went last week the service was good, food so so. But when we were eating A ROACH was crawling next to us in the booth! We had only taken a few bites of our food (THANK GOD) When the manager came over she asked if we wanted to be seated on the other side of the diner. NO THANKS! When you see one roach… there are many!

Enjoyed my Cornbeef hash and two eggs scrambled., with Thomas English muffin. Decaffeinated coffee with French vanilla. Must remind myself diners portions are much larger than standard restaurants. True fact. So much., I needed a take out tray. Atmosphere was very pleasant and surprisingly quite for a Saturday am. Staffing catered to my substitution. Décor had a light natural feeling.

Unfortunately, this will be a first and last for me. The food was unremarkable and the service was satisfactory. To be honest, it seemed like the kitchen holds this place down. The waitress was continually apologizing to tables for long waits for food. This would be OK if the food was great… well, not really. Bad service is bad service.
Additionally, the place just seems sad. There are other diners and I will be going there.

Lived in Baldwin my whole life and my parents would always bring me here. You’re gonna hear of good and bad experiences in every place. But seriously. There was a bug in my food. We never went back. Be careful of the diner you choose.

Lately it seems like diners are getting to be a rare commodity in Nassau County. They are either shutting down, burning down or selling out. And even when the good ones rebuild and renovate — I am looking in direction of Lynbrook — the magic it once had seems to lose it’s appeal.
Then there are diners like the Baldwin Coach. The diners that are unpretentious and in some respects underrated. .. and it should stay that way so I know I will always get a seat.
The burgers here are the tastiest diner burgers I have had in a long while. They are nicely charred on the outside and tender and flavorful on the inside. .. the way classic diners made them back in the day and a rarity nowadays. If you grew up in NY in the 80’s, many times you ordered your fries with brown gravy which could be hit or miss depending on their recipes. Their brown gravy here is thick, flavorful and perfect for dunking your fries. When you order your bacon for your burger (or breakfast), and you order it crisp that is how you get it – AWESOME!
The breakfasts here are spot on too! Whether it is eggs, pancakes or french toast, they make it right and flavorful.
I’ve never had their dinners here, so I leave off one star until I can get the chance to try their multi-​course meals which do look good. And of course I need to try their desserts too (their carrot cake looks terrific).
And the check you ask? While nothing is cheap these days, they are more reasonable in price than some other local diner and with better food. That’s a win-​win in my book!

From the second you walk, the staff is attentive and friendly. Decent atmosphere but the food is amazing. Waiters are friendly and the prices are beyond reasonable. We travel from Bellmore. Best diner in the area!

Very Disgusting ! My boyfriend and I came here about 11:00 am order simple meals French toast and and bacon; pancakes with Canada Bacon with 2 orange juice. First the cups were dirty, once we got our food, as I was eating I notice their was ketchup on my plate. Dry ketchup ! Then the French toast was soggy. Then my boyfriend food, as he was eating he notice one of the pancakes look as if it was cut into. They put it in the middle and cut on it. Smfh.
I would never come to this place again and I hope anyone does they pay attention to their food!

This is a neighborhood favorite! The food is delicious. The staff is friendly and attentive. Cozy ambience too. Great place for a relaxing family dinner or for grabbing late night snacks with friends.

Good for hamburgers, fries, all the stuff that isn’t good for ya, haha. Dinners, not so good. Chicken quesadillas are really good. Service is excellent, come here alot with my friends. Our to go diner right in our town. Ask for Kathy when ordering egg creams, she makes them the BEST and the prices are great.

The Baldwin Coach is a classic diner. Right on Sunrise Highway. I eat breakfast there regularly. Friendly staff and solid food. I’d you are looking for a gourmet meal what are you dining in a diner? But for your low cost diner fare, Baldwin is reliable and hospitable.

Everytime I go with the family to this place it never disappoints. The waiters are nice and courteous and the food is always good two thumbs up.

I’ve been there a couple of times for breakfast and not to many people can ruin breakfast so that’s why it get 2 stars instead of one. i recently went there for a late night dinner on a Friday nite and it was empty (red flag). The service was terrible and the food was worst. Ended up going to Wendy’s afterwards. Even the dog didn’t want what was in the doggie bag… need I say more?

A lot of people dislike this diner, but I have many fond memories here so I’m choosing to give it 5 stars. I grew up in Baldwin and spent time with many of my friends here during my college years. The coffee is typical diner coffee but not too bad. The food is decent, it’s not wonderful but personally I don’t find it terrible either. I love the staff but maybe it’s because they know me, or did know me. They’ve always been very nice. Whenever I do stop in to eat here on occasion I have my wonderful college friend memories. Maybe my review is biased but it’s how I feel.
