Dave’s Riverside Cafe

This place is such a hidden gem, I almost don’t want to tell anyone about it because I’m afraid of it becoming too crowded when I want to go there ;) Just really good food, and Dave is such a personable guy — we LOVE their gyros and go there for those alone. The kids like all the other deliciously prepared menu items, like the chicken fingers, the fried cheese sticks, hot dogs, onion rings, etc. you aren’t eating healthy when you go there, but it’s a true guilty pleasure for sure! The gyros, totally unexpected in this little riverside café in Baldwin, they are really delicious. And the setting of this little diamond in the rough is also so very enjoyable… the kids can feed the trout while you wait for your food, and the river views and sounds are very relaxing and pleasant as well.

The Gyros are the best I have had in Michigan. Well worth the drive I would recommend this place to get GREAT food

Only purchased canned pop but fountain pop is available. Sat next to the river and the food cooking inside smelled great! Prices are very reasonable. Seemed like a step back in time or some southern place instead of northern Michigan. Very cute — eager to try the food when hungry.
