We have lived in the neighborhood for years. Local restaurant and was delicious. I would go again. The staff was great food was plentiful. The atmosphere was welcoming. We had two kinds of veal both outstanding. Not to expensive.

I wish I could give more stars however the food was just ok… Nothing very memorable about it! However the service was superb which would be the only reason I would return! The summer salad however was delicious so that may be worth a try!

Best Italian food I ever had, love this place. The front room is a bar and the side is the dining area. Excellent service, great beer and drinks and extremely reasonable prices. I want to try everything on the menu. I love the salmon and the ravioli with spicy sausage.

Yummy. Enter through the bar and beyond that is the dining area. Casual and super nice waitress service. The menu is interesting. Italian with an edge. I ordered manicotti with sausage and mini meatballs. They were huge! I could only eat one. My friend had pork stuffed with broccoli rabe with tsao sauce and loved it. Cappuccino was fabulous. I will eat here again. You should too!

We have lived in the area for 30 years and heard stories about the «Venice Inn» from grand parents etc… but never tried it. We ate at NOVI this past week… what a great place… great atmosphere, terrific service and most importantly FANTASTIC food… great portions, well served and already booked our next night out there!.. BRAVO NOVI…

Went here for the 1st time for someones birthday, when we arrived there was no tables available so we waited an 1 HOUR. When say said one hour or more I wanted to go to some other place because for a family business they should be hustling to get people in and out. The décor was all over the place there was golf photos and then italian photos, kinda of tacky. I will say the food was good, I really liked the nacho appetizer defiantly recommended dish out of everything. The pasta dishes are kind of pricey compared to other places when the décor is tacky and cheap. The person never came back to fill water classes one poor and never got any more. If your looking for a fancy or ambiance type of place this isn’t it. More of a relaxed and comfy restaurant.

Great environment that replicates NYC. Probably the best restaurant in Baldwin by far.
The lady who answers the phone and writes down the takeout orders is a space cadet but shes nice.
Food: everything ive had from there is delicious. I have a sensitive stomach and have never had a stomach ache from eating their food. And i have eaten alot of their food…

Almost five star — Excellent first time visit to this small Baldwin Italian. Nice casual place with a full page of daily specials. We loved the crabmeat stuffed shrimps. Eggplant topped Lasagna was almost as good. Low prices for what you get. Cheesecake dessert was factory fresh. Next visit i’d skip dessert. I dropped a star for this reason. Novi should be making desserts not buying them. Anyway the entrées are excellent and I look forward to another visit.

Every town needs its own local inexpensive Italian restaurant and this is Baldwin’s. Novi was remodeled after a fire a few years ago and the place now has that Tribeca «raw» look. This is a neighborhood place and many patrons know each other. Classic Italian fare and the pasta specials are cheap and very good. Novi is the star of Baldwin’s emerging restaurant row.

If you feel like having some good old Italian food, go to Novi. My favorite dish is called the parmesan sampler and it has Chicken, Veal and shrimp, served with pasta or a salad. It’s perfect for those times when you just aren’t sure which one you want! The service is always good and I rarely have to wait for a table unless it’s during peak times on the weekends and even then the wait isn’t too long. Sometimes I even like to place an order for take-​out. The food is always ready when I get there and it’s just as delish!

What a beautiful restaurant. The staff is ALWAYS friendly and caring. It is a true family vibe. The food is amazing. Everything is so tasty. I have never been disappointed. have experienced a wait on occasion but never longer than 15 minutes. My family eats here at least once a week. Would recommend to anyone!

I was treated to dinner hear on my birthday not too long ago. The food was very good and in ample portions. I left stuffed because I could not lay off the appetizers and soon followed my fettuccine Alfredo with broccoli rabe. All of it delicious and made great lunch after reheating the next day.
The staff was definitely a big plus as they were pleasant and attentive.

I absolutely LOVE this place. Their food is the superb! The owners and staff are super nice and extremely attentive. I haven’t ever been disappointed with any dish I’ve eaten here. This place blows any other restaurant out of the water. You can tell by the crowd how good their food is. Try it… you’ll be happy you did!!! :)))
