I had my wedding pictures taken there 13 years ago.

Again, I feel it necessary to qualify a review before starting. This is by no means one of the«great park» of Moses or Olmstead, but rather a tiny oasis in the heart of Baldwin, NY. It’s more of a huge public back yard than a park; lined with trees and sunk below street level to give a secluded feeling in the middle of a dense suburb. There are no playground accoutrements, just a trail passing by two man made ponds and a whole lot of open space for kites, Frisbee or catch. No dogs were permitted, but this has become the unofficial dog park of Baldwin. The only drawback is the massive amounts of duck and goose droppings around the southern most pond. Otherwise, this is a jewel of a Nassau County park!

This is the spot my little gal pal and I like to go to run on the grass and to feed the ducks. It’s a nice respite away from the hustle and bustle of the nearby stores and traffic, and a good bonding place for dad and daughter. An unfortunate side effect of the pond — and the nice mallards and swans — is the inordinate number of aggressive Canada geese. And their filth. It’s virtually everywhere. We’d probably spend much more time here if it wasn’t for all the bird crap. Otherwise, a nice couple of bridges, grass, a waterfall, and often some cute dogs running around, despite all the signs barring canines.

Nice lil park right in my neighborhood. went to check it out and it wasn’t on here so I added it. Has numerous signs prohibiting dogs but I’ve seen several while here.
