I just moved to Bville, so I asked around about the best pizza place. Sal’s got a bunch of recommendations. We had friends over so we were able to order a bunch of food on their menu. Honey BBQ Wings were excellent. We got a cheese pizza and a margherita pizza. Pizza was a little overdone but was still pretty good. We all shared the chicken riggies. The peppers and onions in the riggies were raw and the sauce was average. I have had worse though so it wasn’t too bad. Now dessert which was amazing. A Nutella calzone. I don’t know if they invented this but it is delicious and genius. I would go there again just for that. I recommend you eat that warm. We decided to warm the Nutella calzone in the toaster oven and it was great.

Unfortunately this place was a huge disappointment. The atmosphere is great and the staff friendly however I could not eat a single thing brought out. After a 45 minutes we received our salads that consisted of stale brown bagged iceberg lettuce with 2 cherry tomatoes and 2 pieces of crumby blue. Half an hour later my spaghetti and meatballs came. I can typically eat anything and it is pretty difficult to screw up pasta but unfortunately I couldn’t stomach more than a bite. The pasta tasted like it had been pre –cooked and stored for a while. It had a wax like film and sour after taste. Again, staff was very friendly however I have never tasted food so poor. Truly appalling. Go for a drink but steer clear of the food.

Out of pizza places in town, Sals has been the most consistent in quality. I’ve had some of their other food as well(panini, soups, homemade chips, and salads.) They have all been great lunch time fare. The pizza slices are thinner but sizeable. Good Friday night type tradition for a family. Enjoy.

This place is about a 2 mile walk from our house in Baldwinsville. We really enjoy being able to walk to dinner. They have a nicely done décor, good bar selection, great staff, and decent food. I had a great glass of red wine and a salad with chicken. The flavors were great and the chicken was cooked perfectly. My husband had the chicken Marsala and he really enjoyed it. The flavors were a good balance of sweet and salty and the bread that was served was a good way to sop up the extra sauce. Great portions too and at an affordable price!

Service was good and the online ordering is great, but the pizza is mediocre at best. Really bland crust.

I had the seafood apprtizer and a slice of pizza. My wife had the italian panini. It was really good, the specials for dinner looked really good as well. The owners were there and really made you feel welcome. I enjoyed my lunch with my wife there and really look forward to going back. Beer selection wasn’t bad either.

I ordered chargrilled wings with house sauce and a large Mediterranean pizza. The wings were hot, with grill marks and the sauce delicious. Love the pizza, too. If you like white pizza, you should really give this a try. The order was ready in 20 minutes and the woman who took my order over the phone was pleasant and offered me a coupon to save on the order as well. I am very happy with the food and the service and will definitely be a repeat customer!

We’ve tried dining in and pizza delivery and was impressed with both. The pizza was as close to NYC style that you can get in the Baldwinsville area. The crust and sauce were tasty and cooked well. Overall very pleased with the taste! We happened into the restaurant area on Sunday afternoon, it was quiet– had a full bar and it was cute– warm décor, brick walls and booth seating. The waitress was very friendly and enjoyable. We ordered the Rice Ball appetizer which was nothing special but still tasted good. Their pasta faigoil soup was a surprise– creamy, with chunks of bacon. The soup was like warm at Best Buy the flavor was there. We ordered the Italian panini and the buffalo chicken. I thought the Italian one was exactly as described and enjoyed it, perhaps a little more meat & cheese. My fiancé had the buffalo chicken and said it was okay, although when he tried my panini he didn’t like it– so take that with a grain of salt! Overall it was a good experience… We found the kitchen to be rather slow for it being a Sunday afternoon with only a few tables.

Loved their Riggies prior to the building change. Ordered them now and they are raised in price about 6 dollars! Also smaller portions, will be finding another place for Riggies!

I tried Sal’s based on the Unilocal reviews. Haha, they sure fooled me ! Pizza was bland and dripping with oil, folding your pizza in half to let it drip off is not a good start. Overall taste felt like some high school cafeteria experiment. So… on to the Chicken wings which were requested to be done well, but were not and were heavy on the Frank’s hot sauce. So many pizza choices in the area, so there’s no reason for me to go back to this one. At least for me.

Pizza is pretty good, nice sauce but crust is a bit too thick. Shrimp riggies are very good but the rest, not so much. Obviously frozen meatballs from a distributor, cmon guys! To add insult to injury, a chicken parm hero, or sub as they say up here was made with frozen chicken tenders. No thanks, pass.

Awesome food. The chargrilled wings, pizza and Italian dishes are all excellent. I am a huge fan of the Parmesan garlic wings and the Margherita pizza.

Keep this review short snd sweet. We only ordered pizza from here is nice and nobody in the family liked it. There are much better pizza places in Bville.

Pizza had dry cracker like crust with greasy cheese. Ordered grilled wings but came out fried and dry. Servers stood around talking all night not ensuring the food came out right or we had refills. Poor experience. I’ll be going to Gino and Joes next time.

I want so bad to love this place, as there are few like it in the village. Sal and staff have done a great job remodeling what was a dive bar. It is a clean, and attractive environment. Staff are very friendly, and make you feel you are in a neighborhood place. The food is good. Portions are on the small side and overpriced. Twin trees portions are twice as large. Ordered the mozzarella sticks for the grandkids, which they enjoyed. We had the antipasto, which should has been for one, not two. Pizza is terrific, but on the small side. Somewhat disappointed, but will try it again hoping the new restaurant kinks will be worked out.

Sausage and pepperoni pizza from Sal is my absolute favorite pizza. Walked in and tried a slice and can not bring myself to order from any other place or any other kind for that matter.

The new location is a real step up! It is beautiful inside with plenty of seats for dining in as well as take out. I had the mild wings and was picky asking for extra crispy and flats only. They fully accommated me. My husband had their famous chicken riggys and was not disappointed. Great place for a nice meal out in the Baldwinsville area.

Great New York style thin crust. Not too much sauce, and one of the few places which respects when wings are ordered«extra crispy» or «well done», where others just say«OK» and fry the wings like normal. Though, their hot wings are more medium, even when ordered extra hot. Their new location has a larger dining room than their old, tiny, shop. While their specialty is pizza, they have a full menu of other Italian dishes. And always add the garlic knots!
