Nothing terribly special about this place — I would give it somewhere between 3&4 stars. Large and rotating craft beer selection, but mostly stuff you can have elsewhere and for cheaper(most pints are at least $ 6). Good selection of various roast beef sandwiches that come with a pickle & bag of Lays for $ 9. I had the El Diablo, which included a roasted jalapeño and was tasty. Good service. Ample TVs, but expect *every* one to tune in if an SU game is on(even if other marquee match-ups are on too).

I give Samy Malones 4 out of 5 because the sandwiches take forever to be brought to your table. I would say each time I went for a beer and a sandwichi was on my second beer after waiting 30 minutes. The good news is that the sandwiches are the BOMB. If the food prep was cut in half it would be a 5. Since the Yankees and Sox suck… They need a TV for the Mets who own NYC these days.

Have loved coming here for drinks with friends over the years. Very intimate spot by the Seneca River with an extensive selection of bottles and drafts. Came here recently on a Saturday afternoon when a friend suggested we stop for lunch. Lunch? Who knew they served food here?!? We were waited on right away and placed our orders. Quite a variety of sandwiches, burgers, paninis and wraps. Emphasis on their roast beef sandwich with a few variations of this staple. Ordered the chicken panini– wife and friend had the roast beef. Everyone seemed satisfied with their meals. Sammy Malones is already an anchor of the Bville 4 corners area– now I will remember to stop here for a bite!

This bar has a great Draft selection with a 3 ring binder menu featuring full page descriptions of everything they pour. I’ve tried some really great brews here and would reccomend it to anyone looking to try some excellent beer and great food. I like the wraps, I think the chef could actually be working at a legit fine dining establishment to be honest with you. Bartenders are very attentative and knowlegeable of the brews. Plenty of tvs but not too many and a dartboard for when things get competitive. **-only downfall is the lack of a solid kickrail.

Order anything off the menu-it’s good. Great beer selection. Friendly staff, good atmosphere, and great view of the river from the screened in porch.

I’ve been here quite a few times — for lunch, dinner, happy hour or a night out. Always an enjoyable time. Their food is seriously good stuff, not typical bar food. Their beer selection is awesome and the owner is a «keg hoarder»(as per the staff) which means you can usually get hard to find or out of season brews. We always take friend here when they’re in town and have never been let down. The only downside is that sometimes service for food can be slow because they don’t always staff well, but I give a 5 because everything else makes up for it.

Great bar and beer selection. Unfortunately the food was mediocre at best. I ordered a roast beef sandwich because I had heard good things about it. The bread was old, and the meat was rubbery.

I like this place. Easy to find, good size, nearby everything. Service was always good too. I’ve never spent a ton of time here, so maybe that’s why it’s four stars, rather than five, but to me it’s just another typical bar(albeit nice). Being right on the river is awesome and the bathrooms are clean. Not sure what else I can say, I’m not wowed, but it definitely isn’t bad at all, its great. Check them out!

I give Sammy Malones 4 stars in the Beer department. Great selection of craft beer on tap. If I was rating on menu alone it would be 2 stars. Extremely limited menu. And the few things that are on the menu are less than average. This place gets their menu together and they will a great asset to Baldwinsville.

Typical local pub. Nice selection of beer and wine. Small menu. I had the select a salad and it was exceptional. The panni was good too.

This place was nice but in all fairness I only stayed for one drink. It was a Saturday night and super busy. I wouldn’t recommend driving far to go here, but if you are in Baldwinsville this is one of the better places.

Great bar for the Baldwinsville area. They offer«some» variety from the norm in the area and waaaaaaaay better than any of the local spots. Salads are great and so are the sandwiches. I think the roast beef has become over-rated but the the selection of beers makes up for it. They do need to bring back the Ommegang witte, and add Wings to their menu :) And while you’re there, try the Yukon Potato soup. Delish!

On the river, open 7 days a week at 11:30. Only a couple years old, with a double barrel vault wood strip ceiling(it’s just pretty wood) and the place offers a nice view of the river. Read through the 3-ring notebook of the 24 microbrew drafts that they have on tap and curiosity sets in. I tried a Phin and Matts Ordinary Ale from Lakewood, NY(5.6%); a very nice amber treat. Unfortunately, the soups are not homemade — my addiction. From the short menu I tried the Prime Roast Beef Sandwich $ 5.99. «Voted ‘Best Sandwich’ at the 2008 Taste of B’Ville». Of the 3 roll choices = Kimmelwick, I added cheddar cheese and red onion. It was a cheaper roll and cheese but with enough moist, tender beef. On the side were a small cup of bland horseradish mayo and a bag of Lay’s Potato Chips. Despite the name, it looks nicer than CHEERS.

This review is geared towards those people that have been in B’ville for a while, along with those coming to visit. If you have been around then you remember Brendon’s down the street, which was the best bar in town. They had great drinks and beer. Now they are gone, Sammy Malones has picked up the torch and blown away the other bars in town. First off if you are a beer fan they have the best beer selection in town. Second if you are a baseball fan they cater to both the Red sox and«Evil Empire» or Yankees crowd! Playing both games always! This is heaven. Third they are directly on the river, which makes for a nice place to sit outside and enjoy the water. If you have not gone here. Go and check out it! Waitstaff is always friendly and efficient! Prost!
