Ok so this is a mixed feeling review. I had Cool Tech servicing my HVAC unit for couple of years now(since 2013) and I was very impressed with their techs and customer service until couple of months ago when I needed yet another service to pump more freon into my leaky unit for a quick fix. I typically receive good, honest and professional experience but this last call was not at the same parr as the others. The tech proceeded to estimate the weigh of the freon vs. weighing it. When asked, he stated he had the weight written down in his truck and he will weight it again when done. He wanted to charge me for 3lb and he couldn’t not present the start weight or any support to his 3lb guesstimate. Now I should say that their previous techs were outstanding and professional so OK whatever. Right? Forward to now when I finally decided to replace the unit. I tried calling them more than 3 times and I was greeted with«This customer is Not accepting calls at this time» or no answer at all. After the 5 call they answered and was told they can be there after 5pm the same day. Great I said since I am out of commission on my current unit and it is very hot in the house and the faster the better. I got a call that same afternoon saying they can’t make it today and they will be here tomorrow. Understandable, Right? Their tech did show the following day and he had to wait for the other company to finish their estimate before he can come in to do his, so I was very appreciative of him waiting his turn. He was an OK salesman and promised to email me his estimate in couple of hours or the 1st thing in the AM. By noon the following day after I didn’t receive anything from them, I attempted to call the office 3 times to follow up on the estimate and again was greeted with«This customer is Not accepting calls at this time». Actually the 3rd call was answered by someone appeared as didn’t mean or wants to answer because I said Hello and they hung up softly without any reply. It was very clear at this time that this company has gone downhill and does not posses the same qualities they once held. I would rather stay in a 86 degrees house than deal with this company and their poor customer service. The sad thing is that the previous 2 techs I dealt with in the past were great, professional and knowledgable. I went with another company(Cool Air Mechanics) that did the install the following day and I am very pleased. Here it is 2 days later and still no estimate. Nice
