Our own little German butchers shop right here in the sticks! Family owned and operated with love… and you can tell! Quality of meat great, specialty links TODIEFOR(and so is the potato salad and those magical rum balls). Can’t wait for summer sidewalk grilling!

This place is awesome. Everything is made fresh. They put so much care into it and it shows. From the sausages of which they have a bunch of styles, to the sandwiches or even the grüné butter they make from scratch. Their steaks and burgers are great too. No hormone laden meat like in the grocery store. I haven’t tried anything I don’t love, but my favorite by far is their Reuben sandwich. I’ve never even liked a Reuben. This is Angus beef instead of corned beef, and it’s amazing. They shave it off of a spit that’s turning behind the counter. Then, they add Swiss cheese, sauerkraut and thousand island dressing on rye. I have to have it at least 3 times a week. I’m headed there now. I made myself hungry.

OMG!!! If you are out in this area, this is a a place you must stop and try! The Döner sandwich was not only delicious, but it was huge! My fiancé and I split it and we were both stuffed! We also got a pound of landjäger sausage that my fiancé really enjoyed. The service is top notch. We were welcomed warmly from the moment we stepped through the front door and offered very generous portions of literally everything. They even gave us a free, huge, pork chop as a first time customer. We will certainly be back when we are in town! Thank you for the wonderful service and the delicious meal and snacks!

This place is truly a hidden gem in small town Ball Ground. It’s an authentic German meat market and they have anything your heart desires. Their steaks are huge, hamburgers super thick with montreal steak seasoning on the outside. They will make you sandwiches there. My husband and I are hopelessly addicted to the large Doner that we split. It’s kinda like a gyro but better. Probably the best sandwich I’ve ever had anywhere it’s THAT good. We are new to the area and plan to try out all their yummy goodness since we like to grill and smoke meats. We did try the smoked pork chop and it was very good. We’ll be regular’s for sure.

Let’s start with, if you love meat you need to come here!!! This is an oasis of meat in small downtown Ballground. The family who runs this place hand cuts there meats and makes there own sausages, brauts, and Bolognas. While your there get one of there sandwiches they make. There huge and well worth the money. The service is perfect. Sample what you would like. There smoked pork chops are there signature meat. They are delicious! Tender and yummy! Go here. You won’t regret it! 5 stars doesn’t disappoint!

I just finished my Doner sandwich. German style. This was my first visit and I will be back for sure. The best tip I can give you is when they say large they mean large. The large is big enough for two. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable which makes a huge difference to me. Next I try the Ruben!

Doner sandwich German style. Thank you sandwich gods! It was so unbelievably good that I finished it and immediately picked up my phone to write a review. My husband and I love — LOVE — German food. We also love gyros, and this was an amazing mixture of the two. A large($ 7.99) MORE than fed the two of us to satisfaction — we were stuffed. The sandwich is stuffed with meat, red cabbage, feta and cucumber salad. The sauce(we got both — the mild is a creamy tzatziki and the spicy is the same but with a heated kick). We also got an assortment of sausage to take home for a great price(an idea — about $ 4 for very two large sausages). The cheddar dill was amazing, as was the German potato salad and red cabbage. And the landjaeger? Get out of here! So good! The best«jerkey» I’ve ever had — bar none. We were able to try an assortment of the smoked meats, and given a free pork chop on our first visit. The service was super friendly. This is now going to be a go-to for us!

We travel 30 miles every few months to stock up on their sausages. Best I’ve had, great variety and world class service(literally like cruise ship service). Well worth several trips even if you live far away.

I have been shopping there for several years. I purchased some chocolate cake there and realized they over charged me the 2nd time. Manager didn’t care never said sorry even after an employee agreed with me and I had my receipt. That’s to bad, because of the managers attitude I will never shop there again!

This place was outstanding! They are super friendly and have great service. They let you try samples of anything that you want and they are very helpful in helping you get the right thing! They suggested the Doner for lunch(I found out why this item gets it’s own spot in the name)… It was so good and the large was big enough for me and my wife to both get more than enough to eat. We also bought some smoked sausages to grill for dinner. The only negative is that there are no seats in the store. My wife and I aren’t from Ballground and I wish we could have stayed and eaten there. But other than that it was an awesome experience. The prices are fair and what you would expect from a specialty butcher shop, but the quality and service make it well worth the price. If you have not tried this place, do yourself a favor and give them a go!

I will say that if you are a vegetarian, steer clear of this place! It is all about the meat. I have had several different types of wurst here and was thoroughly impressed with the fare. If you are unsure of what you want or what something is, just ask and samples will appear! You will not find a more friendly and helpful group of folks. The potato salad is made in the german style, so you may want to try a sample — its not anything like the mayonnaise drenched supermarket standard that you normally find. It is the real deal! Bring a cooler, because after you have a snack, you will want to bring a couple of pounds of sausage and steaks home for later.

Wow just amazing. One of the best subs I’ve eaten in Atlanta. I had the Italian. Was planning on going to restaurant next store but they didn’t accept credit cards. Glad they didn’t. Also purchased a few sausages can’t wait.

They sell all kinds of sausages and hamburger, pork chops. Homemade jellies and sauces and fresh rotisserie meat. We were greeted with huge smiles and free samples of anything we mentioned. Here is the kicker for me. Fresh boudin!!! Prices are reasonable for fresh cuts and set in beautiful downtown ball ground ga.

Great little find in Ballground downtown. We saw the owner cooking on the grill outside the front door… stopped and had a Dog hot off the grill with these amazing buns … the meat counter inside as amazing and full of very interesting selections. Small place full of BIG flavor and southern hospitality… Great place and we will be back !

A must! My husband and I stopped in this morning on our way through Ball Ground as we saw other people’s reviews. My husband has a love for beef jerky… lets just say it was amazing! How can you beat franks red hot beef jerky!!! They also gave us a sample upon walking in of their fresh made pork chop… so tender and juicy! If we didn’t just eat a late breakfast we would have eaten there. Stuff was extremely nice and helpful as well. A must stop if your in or near background!

Wow, what a lovely shop. We spotted this place on the way from a weekend in the mountains. We stopped in to have a look around. The case contains an amazing array of Wurst. They also have more American type sausages. The owner was working the counter and gladly answered all of our questions. She let us sample pretty much everything in the case that could be sampled too. Many years ago I took a trip to Germany. The tastes from this shop really reminded me of my time in Europe. Everything was delightful. For lunch, we had the Doner sandwich, it is shaved meat in a pita pocket with veggies and«cucumber yogurt dressing.» I assume they don’t call it tzatziki because it might frighten the locals. Either way, the sandwich was lovely, and a fantastic deal for the price. The shop also offered a variety of confections right from Germany. This is the real deal German chocolate, you won’t find it easily available anywhere in the States. I will definitely be visiting this place again. Perhaps on my next trip to the mountains, we’ll get some Wurst to take up with us and throw on the grill. The staff are friendly and helpful. It’s a nice small business and I hope they succeed.
