They have good food but the service is always really slow. We always order over the phone and wait 20 minutes to go pick it up and then it’s not unusual to wait another 20 minutes before the food is ready. It’s usually a simple order too like chicken tenders. One night they forgot our mozzarella sticks and we had to go back. Plus while waiting for food I’ve heard other customers present issues with their orders. Not the best place in my opinion.

Well, my salad was fresh and yummy, but they only give you a bendy, little plastic fork and knife(dining in). Hard to eat a salad that way, asked for a real fork, nope. You end up with hands covered in salad dressing the rest of the day, but okay. Husband’s sandwich never came. 15 minutes into my salad, he got up and they handed it to him. But wait… there’s more… my son’s burrito…20 minutes after I got my big salad, 5 minutes after my husband got his sandwich, my son got his meal. The food is good, so I guess if your party is super relaxed about eating one at a time, it works out. Might be awkward on a first date. And diving into your salad with a Playskool fork and greasy hands. And zero ambiance.

Ordered delivery for the first time tonight. Gentleman who answered the phone was very nice polite and courteous. Food was delivered on time, hot and was good. We will order again. Thank you

It pains me to update my review in light of recent events. We’ve established that with one mis-step a couple of years ago, this is hands-down our fave place to order from for dinner. I have friends and family that come and visit and demand we order from this place. I’d be willing to estimate we’ve spent over $ 1k here in the last year. So… two orders ago, my daughter found a hair on her sandwich. She didn’t eat the hair, just saw it. I called them and talked to the manager who added a $ 15 credit to my account. Things happen, I get it, and I was compensated for the grossness. About a week ago, I call instead of ordering online. You have to call to use the credit, so I get a presumably new girl. I confirm my address with her, tell her delivery and give her the order. It’s about 5.20 on a Wednesday… not peak time, I’m sure. An hour passes… I call to check on the order. She says ‘Driver is on the way’ and in the amount of time it takes to drive from FSD to my place, food appears. Cold. Cold grilled cheese sandwiches that go chewy when reheated. Fries that are so cold, they haven’t been cooked in the last hour. My hunch is she put it down for pick up and when I called, realized her mistake and sent the driver out with it. Total for the order was almost $ 40 of which $ 15 was credit from the hairy sandwich. I call again. Talk to the same manager. I stress that I understand it was likely a mistake, but it’s not cool. It’s not cool when I order from here at least once a week, if not more, to send me the cold order that I placed 75 minutes ago. She apologizes and says she’ll discuss with the owner. Apparently, I miss her return call and she leaves a message stating they will send me a gift card for the mix up. Ok, again, things happen, make it right and we don’t have a problem. Gift card arrives today for $ 10. $ 10 on an order that I paid $ 20+ for. Two orders in a row that weren’t right. One credit that then got used on a cold, almost inedible order(we had bagels with cream cheese about an hour after we ‘ate’ because everyone was so hungry still) and a $ 10 gift card. Well, that’s it for me. I’ll hold on to the gift card, but looks like I’ll have to find another place to provide the too tired to cook meal that I end up ordering each week. Sigh. Such a great place, but poor experience lately.

Cute little spot for quick good sandwich or to pick it up. I have noticed one thing that some people here complained about but for me it is a big advantage: A sandwich doesn’t need to have enormous amount of meat. The ingredients, or their combination to be accurate is what makes a great sandwich. And when the food is being made by friendly staff, who makes you feel that they want you to have the perfect sandwich, is what turn it to one of my favorite places in the area. Take their Blue cheese, take a soup(in the winter) or take a sandwich. It will be good.

When first moving to the area last year, this was one of the first places we ate, we have eaten here about 5 more times. I have enjoyed it every time I have gone to eat there. When we have family or friends come visit us from out of town, I will suggest we eat here for a quick lunch. Very convenient place to eat when there isn’t much time.

We live in Saratoga Springs and this place is our goto deli. They have a lot of choices and I always have a tough time deciding what I want to order. Everything I’ve ordered here is phenomenal and we’ve been there a lot of times. I’m sure between myself and my husband we’ve covered their entire sandwich selection. I do feel that they are slightly overpriced… but hey you get what you pay for, so no complaints I guess.

I work across the street and live right in town, and I order from them often! They always have fun daily specials that always include a sandwich soup and salad. They are always here in a reasonable amount of time which is nice! I would recommend everyone try the shakedown street it is my favorite.

Our fridge recently broke, and we didn’t get a replacement fridge for a couple weeks(the landlord was out of town). During that time, my fiancé and I ended up getting delivery from Front Street Deli a lot. I usually order online, and it is much easier and quicker than calling in an order. The delivery is also usually extremely quick(we live close by, so that may affect the delivery time), and the food always arrives hot/really warm. My usual go-to foods are the hot boneless buffalo chicken wings(with what is the best blue cheese sauce I have ever had) and jalapeño poppers. Recently, Front Street seems to have changed up the batter or the fry oil or something, because they have been extra crispy and delicious. But, for those interested in other menu items I have tried: –Jumbo chicken wings w/garlic sauce and Parmesan cheese sprinkled on top: These are good, but boneless are still my favorite. –House Salad, Spinach Salad, Antipasto Salad: these have been pretty small for the Large size. They were still nice, but I would expect more for the price. –Hard taco, Burrito: The hard taco was soggy by the time it got to me, but that is probably to be expected with delivery. It was still tasty, though. The burrito was nothing exceptional. –Philly steak and cheese grinder: Meh. Too dry. –Buffalo chicken pizza: Good, not great. The gluten-free version of this has a very thin crust, but is still tasty. –The Mexicano pizza: Again, good, not great. I am probably going to keep ordering from Front Street Deli because of their fast delivery and scrumptious boneless buffalo chicken wings and jalapeño poppers. I’m not really in love with their other items, but that hardly matters since I know what I like.

They have a great selection of food. Anything from sandwiches to wraps to pizza. They also have plenty of salads and appetizers and specials every day. Weve been here a few times and everything we have had has been excellent. Its definitely not like the delis im used to(originally from LI) but its still pretty good.

We stopped at the Front St Deli by chance on our way through Ballston Spa. My turkey Ruben was incredible and the gluten free roll(special order) was ridiculously good. The turkey on my partner“s sandwich was hand carved, fresh veggies, have a great selection of breads, regular and gluten free. Service was really good. Place was really clean. We will definitely make it a point to stop again and again.

Front Street Deli is a soup and sandwich place with a rather extensive menu. The food is solid and the cold cuts are top notch. They do a pretty nice doughy deep dish pizza that is good if you go heavy on the toppings. The Mexican pie is a good choice. The soups are always great. The Bottom Line: It’s a quality upscale Deli with something on the menu for everyone.

Thank you for your reply Front Street. I did recieve your email and read it. I am a huge fan of supporting local buisnesses and I applaud you for using local vendors. I have been to your place 2 other times in the past and I am not saying the food is bad. I have had some decent meals. However, I will say it is pricey but you have explained that. I will give you a thumbs up for caring what consumers have to say and taking the time to reply.

I’ve been here a number of times and the food is consistently fantastic! Fresh ingredients which they use to make everything from scratch. They’re always thinking of new and inventive menu items to spice things up. Never had a bad meal. The staff is friendly and efficient. I could eat here every day!

Great spot for later-night dining, as most of the other eateries on Front Street seemed to be closed when I stopped by around 6:00 the other night. I ate in. The place was clean, tidy, the kitchen is open to view, so you can see what’s going on in the back. Be prepared to grab a paper menu in front of the register since you can’t read a single thing on the signs above. I ordered the half sandwich/soup combo, which I was happy to find out is available at night and not just a lunch special. The American Mix sandwich was on great bread, meet and veggies were fresh, and the tomato bisque was pretty good. Overall I was definitely satisfied. Service could have been a tad more top notch, but nothing I’d say is worth lower than 4 stars overall.

Fresh, well prepared, tasty. Lots of veggie fare as well as stuff to please the omnivores too. I love how diverse their menu is. Everyone is VERY nice and friendly. Free local delivery.(Even tho it’s a short walk from my house.) The common areas are basic cafeteria, really, but nicely done and kept clean.(Even in the middle of winter with snow and slush being tracked in.) Good specials. Delicious breakfasts. Sadly falls into the trap of most Ballston Spa places and is closed by 9pm. Oh, and closed on Monday. *sigh* It’s monday now… Isn’t it. *pout* *EDIT* — They have renovated inside! It’s amazing! Nice dark real tables and chairs. A hip paint job and moved the menu boards over the counter.
