What a hidden gem! Great food and service from beginning to end. Started with chicken wings which were perfection. House salad was a step above the norm with fresh romaine expertly chopped. Entrees were out-of-this world: Seafood platter featured the best catfish we’d ever tasted… batter was crispy and not greasy and the fish itself was divine. Blackened steak was well seasoned and cooked as requested. Sides were incredible — the best fried pickles ever and the coleslaw was amazing. The only downfall was the absence of a dessert menu, but given the portions, there wasn’t room anyway. We’ll definitely be back!!!

On the rec of the first review my friends and I stopped here. We were hungry and just did a nearby search on Unilocal.Doing this hasn’t failed us yet. It’s definitely a bar, with all that that entails, but the service was attentive and friendly. The food– excellent! None of us are big coleslaw people, but we inhaled this. The catfish was good, the batter is heavy but not too greasy and very filling. The sweet potato fries are hand cut and dusted with large grains of salt. The crab cakes are fried, large and flaky with a delicious remoulade. The fried pickles put all my previous experiences with them to shame. They’re sweet and salty and lightly fried. The sticky chicken is sweet and spicy. I had the pulled pork sandwich. Pickles and coleslaw and cheese and your choice of side. Four people came to $ 54, with a couple of sodas.

We got a menu at work from this place, since it’s a few doors down. The guy who brought it in said they were new, and trying to get there name out there. It’s located inside of a bar(Jay’s Bar & Grill), so we were hesitant to give it a go, but we gave it a shot since the menu sounded good. We expected some so-so bar-style food — but we were SO wrong. The food is 100% authenic Louisiana-style, and it was incredible. I love to eat, I love to explore new types of food, and I love new restaurants although I’m picky – rarely does a dish put a smile on my face, but this food accomplished just that! We had catfish, shrimp & grits, crabcakes, fried pickles, and a po-boy, and I can’t say a bad thing about any of them. They were all perfectly seasoned and there were hearty portions. I would definitely recommend this place to anybody & everybody! A must try for sure.
