This is a great little deli that doesn’t promote itself as much as some of the other local cafés, but still maintains a steady and loyal following. This is a high-quality establishment where the owner and his wife provide superior service in down-home environment. I’ve only been to Tresa’s Café for lunch, so this review pertains only to the lunch menu. Tresa’s Café has about eight small tables. My observation is that most of the people there are part of a steady, regular clientele that go there on a regular basis. There is constant conversation with the owner and between patrons. The walls are covered with dozens of character sketches, presumably of customers. You order at the counter, and then the owner brings the food to your table. The menu is limited to just a few lunch items. Roast beef is the specialty here, either in a hot or cold sandwich. A lunch special and a choice of two kinds of soup are offered daily. A typical lunch will consist of a sandwich, soup, and maybe a bag of potato chips, all for about $ 10. The food is fresh and prepared to order. A great place for lunch in Ballston Spa. Note that it closes by two.
