We had a group of 8 for dinner and service was no problem. Atmosphere there is great for the sports minded person. All meals were right on target for taste. The walleye special was crispy outside and flakey and tender in the inside. The frog legs were to perfection, crispy outer coating tender and juicy on the inside. maybe the best I have had. The prices are very reasonable and the place is family friendly.

A great choice for a tasty dinner, and the best fish I’ve had in St. Louis. I usually get the daily fish special, and it’s always been delicious. I highly recommend the roasted red pepper gouda soup. This place is one of the best kept secrets in the West County area.

Very good. The waitress is so friendly. Love the low key, casual dining. The lazy river burger is sooooooo good. Will be back!

A nice little spot close to home, but not a lot of options if you don’t love fish. I got a salad and I honestly don’t think they washed the lettuce very well. It tasted dirty. Otherwise the restaurant was very nice and the staff was friendly. My husband enjoyed his meal and the prices weren’t too bad.

Lazy River has a nice outdoorsy fishing décor. When you walk in, you feel like you’re in Colorado or Wyoming. Pretty cool. Service was terrific. My burger was okay. The broccoli tasted good, but there were a few brown spots on it(hopefully from being grilled!).

I have never had a staff be more accommodating of my wife and I and our two young girls. They were on a 20 minute wait and while we were waiting the staff brought us out crackers and cheese for them, coloring pages, and other kid entertainment. We had frog legs that were great! Very light breeding on them. Over all good was average to above. Maybe a little overpriced but the service makes it more than worth it. We will be going back

Love this restaurant! They have some unique dishes that I feel really set them apart. The menu is definitely not the same old, same old. The waiter went above and beyond to make sure we had what we wanted. I LOVED that they provided crock cheese and crackers. I «discovered» this place about a year ago and have introduced it to several more people. The décor is unique and modern. Service is great. Food even better.

Not cheap, but you get fantastic food & great service. Get the walleye if you’ve never had it before.

Came her last Friday night with the parents. My mom is a big walleye fan so, after hearing great things about this establishment’s version, she had to try it. Mom ordered the walleye special which was the same as the regular walleye except it had slivered almonds added to the breading. Dad ordered the regular walleye and I ordered. .. a buffalo chicken sandwich. I know, I know. Why order standard bar fare at a fried seafood place? Easy — not a huge fan of fried fish. My sandwich was pretty standard so no complaints from me. My parents both enjoyed their walleyes and the portions were plentiful, for $ 18.99 you definitely get your money’s worth. The walleye entrees came with a side and a starter. Mom went with a side salad with the homemade green goddess dressing and enjoyed it. Dad chose to start with the red pepper gouda bisque, which he found quite tasty. For sides, mom went with French fries which veered more steak fries so if you are a shoe string fan I’d consider a different side. Dad went with the green beans and I didn’t hear any complaints. The restaurant itself is quaint and no frills — family friendly. Our server, Ima, was a good sport and constantly(in a good way) checked up on us to make sure we had everything I needed. As I was leaving I encountered the owner who was a jovial man and made those who were waiting on a table feel like part of the family. Not my type of place but I appreciated it for what it was and expect my family to be back for more walleye.

If you like going to an overpriced under quality food establishment this is the place for you there’s more stuff hanging on the walls and ceiling just make sure you wear a hardhat in case Your in a earthquake’s staff & cooks very unfriendly owner is cheap and loves to cut corners. I would rather spend my money at McDonalds!

Have eaten here a couple times before. LOVE their fried fish — got this dish both times and they’ve been cooked/fried to a golden brown. Tartar sauce that comes with it can sometimes be a little heavy on the dill, but it might just be me and my pickiness(not a huge fan of dill and I can be a little sensitive). French fries are nice and crisp, too! Service is pretty decent, though I haven’t seen the place very packed when I have gone.

I had a mixed experience here. The service was excellent, but the food was sub par. My Salmon was way over-cooked and the BBQ glaze was some basic bbq sauce, which I would never consider putting on Salmon, ever. My wife’s meal was the pork chop, and it was dry /over done also.

The walleye is great. Frog legs are always good as well, and hard to find anywhere else. Nice, warm, inviting staff. I should go here more, actually.

Great service, always has been. What’s changed though are the prices and the food. $ 19 for the Lazy River signature Walleye dinner but that gets you a smaller portion of fish than before and one vegetable. Comes with soup or salad but still, prices are now too high relative to what you get in terms of quality, quantity and atmosphere. Tonight’s visit was telling: very light crowd vs packed before. We do $ 50 dinner on a regular basis but Lazy a River isn’t worth it anymore. Ps the homemade dessert like the cobblers used to be amazing but tonight’s peach cobbler was the worst I. Have ever had. A soup with no crust made with way to much cinnamon, ugh. Even the aal mode ice cream was a heap off brand. Bottom line — lower quality and quantity but higher prices.

Omg delicious! Love that they send out cheese ball and crackers instead of rolls! The burgers here are by far the best I have ever had from a small restaurant chain!(Partially because there’s no question that it is a burger!)

Stumbled in here one afternoon for a quick lunch while waiting for the car to be serviced. Have lived near this place for a while, but never thought about going in. The interior is a bit odd and somewhat out of place. Simply put the great outdoors meets the local taxidermist. It’s kind of unnerving to eat with the creatures, some of which have seen better days staring at you. Beer selection was solid, as was the menu. The menu offering up typical grill food from burgers to fish. Playing it safe I ordered a burger. Was there during a slow point, so service was great. Food came out hot and fresh. The owner who was on site stopped by to check on us even. Food wasn’t anything to shout at, pretty standard burger. It’s pretty hard to mess that up. Overall it’s not a bad place to have a meal.

The Lazy River Grill, or as I call it Wacky Walleye’s. Why do I call it that? I have no idea but that’s the only name I can remember it by. I have eaten here about three times, but this last visit we were in a bit of a hurry because we had an unscheduled conference call to get back to. We told our waitress that we were going to have to eat and run so she did everything she could to speed the process up for us. She did a fantastic job. The food is decent, but I haven’t had anything that makes me crave my return. I tend to come here because someone else wants to come.

One of my favorite stops in St. Louis County. As a fisherman, I enjoy a local filet. They are one of the few restaurants I’ve found that offer Walleye. The interior makes it hard to focus on your food with antique decorations of years past.

I come here with my grandma and cousin a couple of times of year. We always enjoy ourselves because they have good food and good service. Also, the noise level is moderate to quiet, which is important for my grandma.

mmm.mmm.good.We went for our anniversary because it is in the neighborhood and we’ve always said we needed to try it. WE made a good choice! I had the Ribeye, slightly thinner than I am used too, my date had the Frog legs which were very tender, not tough at all, and HUGE! Service was top notch, the owner or manager even came by to clear some plates and say hi! I probably would have had just a bit more pleasant experience if the lights were turned down just a bit. it was a little bright in there.
