Rock Hollow Trail

A hidden gem, this paved trail is well-​developed but extremely scenic. Part of the Meramec Greenway trails system, it is a one-​way walk from Ridge Road down to the Meramec River (2.3 miles down, 2.3 miles back uphill). Although it starts in a fairly developed part of Ellisville the houses on the ridge tops soon disappear and (in late fall) you can view scenic hills and ravines with occasional rock outcroppings.
It is a somewhat busy trail; there are a lot of cyclists on weekends who will be riding fairly fast down the trail.
