Second stop on the June 7 girlfriend food ramble through west St. Louis County. I scoped this place out the week before to see what was offered, and had a great cheese conversation with the guy manning the cheese section. Man, does he know his cheese. As soon as I walked into the store, I was offered assistance. What great service. So on this Saturday on the food ramble, there was a different cheese person, and man oh man, does she know her cheese, too! She offered samples of every cheese we inquired about, and was so fun to talk with her about cheese, her making recommendations and offering options. I don’t think anybody got any wine, but everybody looked at the abundance of it. It’s a bit overwhelming, and I think that’s why they offer assistance when you come through the door. Everybody was focused on cheese. I got a piece of St. Agur Bleu(.27 ounces), a piece of Cotswold(double Gloucester with rehydrated onions and freeze-dried chives)(.21 ounces) and a piece of Prairie Breeze(.22 ounces) for just under $ 14. And I have learned that if a cheese is really good, you don’t need a lot of it, because the taste is so perfect and intense.

As the name suggests they sell wine and cheese. Plus they sell great sausages and pâté. I am a big fan. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. so whether you are a novice or and oenophile this is a great place. Try one the pillar sausage while you are there. Their cheese selection is second to none.
