The place is AWESOME!!! I came here for«Free Fall» thanks Unilocal I had no idea there was some such event until you came along! So I brought my children with me for the treasure hunt event the museum offered. We were a little turned around and had to ask a neighboring shop owner where the museum was. It’s actually in the same building as woodberry(everyone favorite local restaurant, I gave them 5 stars) back to Amaranthine, this place is so cool and the art work is so vibrant! If you enjoy colors you will love this museum. The concept is a labyrinth, as you walk through different time periods in art history you look for images that are on a sheet of paper match them to a number system that correspond to a fact sheet. It’s a great way to teach art history. My 6 and 14 year old had a great time, it was tough for my 6 y.o. not to touch so, a few threats were made(all out of love lol). My oldest was actually one of the winner for the Treasure Hunt contest! I really enjoyed this museum it’s visually beautiful and very intimate.

Very cool little gem right down the hall from Woodberry Kitchen. The museum represents the life work of the late artist Les Harris. The works are displayed as a labyrinth that journeys through time and consciousness. We really enjoyed this little museum and spent some time walking round and round through time. We noticed many details we had missed on previous passes. I don’t think many people even know it exists! If you have reservations at Woodberry, it’s certainly worth poking your head in before or after dining there. A $ 5 donation is requested and they are only open Sun 12 – 3.
