Very nice store on the pricey side but toys are high quality. Staff friendly and informative. If your in the area check it out!

We love this place! It’s our go to place for purchasing quality toys. We love that it’s a local store and the staff is incredibly helpful. Every time we are buying a gift, I go in, tell whoever is working the age of the child I am buying for and my price range, and they never fail to give me great recommendations.

aMuse is a very creative toy store with a differentiated selection of cool toys. We used to shop the Fells Point location, and enjoyed it. Fast forward a few years, and we were very excited about the Quarry Lake location nearer to home. The positives? Open space, uncluttered, some of the newest well rated toys. Nice gift wrapping and hands on service. Downsides? Pricey — the last three visits they’ve failed to produce a decent $ 20 choice for a kids’ party. I feel like there is more variation in the quality of the advice than there used to be. Returns only for credit. And in some cases the prices are well above retail — example — the Boogie Board retails for basically $ 30 each, aMuse sells for $ 36, we bought on Amazon for $ 18 each(currently $ 25 on Amazon). Again — some perks shopping here, but the not as great as it used to be. I really don’t expect Amazon prices but 20% over retail seems a bit much.

Friend had a baby and so I needed to buy baby toys in Baltimore, but where? Didn’t have time to order from amazon so went to Unilocal and found this place. It’s a nice small store with a good collection of toys for a wide range of ages. The presentation isn’t overwhelming and impersonal like toys r us. You feel like you’re in the type of toy store you see in the movies where there is a kind old man with spectacles who finds the perfect toy for you. In this case it’s a middle-aged dad in an Orioles hat behind the counter. Anyway, I picked up a monkey blanket(19.99) and a baltimore 1,2,3 book(~$ 10) which they gift-wrapped for free. Overall, I like this place. If I need another gift for someone less than 5 years old, I’ll think of coming here.

Beautiful store, great toys, and helpful sales associates. aMuse stocks high-quality toys at a range of price points. Highly recommended! Some of my favorite items were the books: Washington and Baltimore 1,2,3 books, as well as a primer for baby foodies that included hilarious tropes like, «We love farmer’s markets!»

A remarkable independent toy store. Their toy selection is thoughtful and goes beyond the typical toys you can find at larger toy stores. I rather spend my money at a store that I can receive great personalized customer service and toys that are thought-provoking and stimulating. The staff was very helpful and knowledgable about all of the unique toy offerings. Definitely my choice when shopping for gifts.
