Attended my first Baltimore Pride today. Tried to check in to Unilocal but I couldn’t find a Baltimore Pride page(so I started a new one). Attended Pride especially to see Martha Wash perform, which was finale of the Pride Block Party. This event is VERY well attended. The crowd was huge. Several city streets are blocked off. Had to park several blocks away and walk in but that is to be expected. Lots of food booths and lots of people selling various stuff. The good: The Pride 2015 block party was fun. Huge crowd of interesting people makes for fun people watching. No charge for admission like some other Pride events in other cities — this is a big plus. And nationally famous performers. Watched Cazwell perform his set before Martha Wash came on. She performed«It’s Raining Men» as her last song. Perfect way to cap off the evening. The bad: Huge crowd — this is not an event for people who dislike crowds. But everyone was polite and orderly, and just out to have a good time. The stage area was very crowded, standing room only, but this is no different than a lot of other concerts that I have been to. Overall, no complaints. Fun & free event, great way to spend a few hours of the day or evening. Even if you aren’t a member of the LGBT community, I think you can have a fun time here. Keep an open mind & embrace diversity.
