Yummy in my tummy. Good booze good food and amazing company. Thanks Danny boy. ;) get their grilled cheese– it’s insane in the membrane. Oh and drink the Jim beam single barrel. It’s smoky and smooth, just like their team.

Very nice bartender, Diane. Accommodated me with an off the menu beer flight. Great wings! They grill instead of deep fry. Eastern Shore was good. Spencer pizza was decent.

Decidedly self-proclaimed non-racist barback. Great pizza and company. Update: I was originally trolling the aforementioned barback who was apparently offended by the conversation I was having with friends, but after consulting with Chef Chris of Bartenders aka my life coach, I’m chalking it up to a miscommunication. Seriously, this place is a great neighborhood bar, and all of the local bartenders come here after their shifts are over. Sneaky good beer and whiskey selection. Ron(call him Ronnie to mess with him) and the other guys who tend bar here are awesome as well. 5 stars in the category of ‘local divey bar with good food’

This place is great. Amazing food, great beer selection and the bartenders are a lot of fun. Get the meatball sub. Really fun place to hang!

Hands down, this is probably one of the best places to get grilled cheese. You might be thinking ‘why would I go to a bar that specializes in pizza and get grilled cheese?’ Well that’s because they make their grilled cheese on PIZZA dough! It is definitely worth the trip here to try it out. Their pizzas are also super tasty and they have good deals on them during the week.

The spence pizza and the bartender were awesome! I especially loved the pizza because it wasn’t like the usual thin crust(which I mostly prefer although it’s nice to have a change once in a while), but a thick puffy crust, yummy toppings and generous cheese on top. I was there with my boyfriend and we had a great time with«Spence» and one of the regulars. Casual nice corner bar.

My rating of Bartender’s seems to keep bouncing up and down but going here more times than I care to admit I have to give them their fifth star back. I’m not sure if they’re just friendlier to people they recognize as regulars but service has improved a lot in the past year. All of the bartenders are extremely friendly, but not in an overbearing way. The pizza remains consistently excellent and after trying their grilled cheese I can recommend that as well.

I have only been here once and it was a random occurrence. The place is nice inside with a beautiful bar. Apparently it is a bourbon bar and my fiancé ordered an old fashioned that was pretty good. The service was great and everyone was friendly and helpful when we were indecisive about what to drink or eat. We ordered pizza and I am always hesitant to do so because I have yet to have had a good pizza experience in Baltimore. We ordered the Tarlek which was a white pizza with chicken and herbs. It had excellent flavor. The basil on top was fresh and the crust was cooked perfectly with a crisp outside with a warm and soft inside. This is my type of pizza so I personally felt it was done very well. We will definitely be making this our go-to pizza place.

OK. We came back! We needed a fix of their meat pizza, which is one of the best around. It was early on a saturday and we were the first to arrive. One of the owners, Danny, was behind the bar and was pleasantly entertaining, as well as knowledgeable about all aspects of his business(a delight that he is ‘hands-on’). We chatted about college basketball and a potential fruit fly invasion, among other things. The pizza was great, as usual. Service was efficient and timely. Not sure what happened last time, but we may vary the times we come here(ie. not on a football sunday or friday/saturday night) in order to get the service and pizza we enjoy :)

I recently moved away from Baltimore and Bartenders is one of the places that I miss the most. Their pizza is incredibly under rated… I think its the best pie in the city and I know some of my buddies would agree. The beer and whiskey selections are also solid. I used to come on Fridays and the bartender Andrew always was friendly and added a lot to our discussions. great place. totally miss it.

Monday night is $ 8 pizza night! Came here with my boyfriend for a quick bite and to have a few drinks together. The bartender had all of the tables and the bar, and was not flustered at all and gave excellent service. He even helped us pick our beers, which I now LOVE the Bartender’s Gold… it is the most delicious golden ale I have ever had, it is from the Boulder Brewing Co. The house salad was so delicious, very fresh and crisp lettuce and the dressing was so good. The pizza, we got the Spence, it is the pizza with sausage on it and it is by far my favorite! With so many good pizzas in the area, it is hard to tell which place is my favorite, but this one definitely is up there in the rankings! With a small and cozy atmosphere I really recommend this place.

Andrew was the host/bartender for my first visit. He was fabulous, describing each draft. I had a Cisco Grey Lady and the«Tarlek» pizza. It was great choice. The crust was awesome the cheese chicken and fresh herbs were the perfect combination. I will stop by on my next visit.

I was here once two and a half years ago for pizza night and was so underwhelmed by the food that it took this long to go back. I went tonight for taco night and got three bland cold tacos and my girlfriend got a cup of bland cold black bean soup. I was astonished at how ridiculously boring and uncared for the food was. It was like they left out all seasoning except for the basic elements of the items. On a positive note the bartender was super friendly and helpful web beer selections(which are ample and awesome) and the crowd was cool and friendly as a good neighborhood bar should be. Despite the positives, I doubt very much I’ll ever be back after two such terrible food experiences. Maybe I just had bad luck though. After we left we dropped into a bar down the street whose kitchen was closed and the bartender suggested we try Bartenders, saying the food is a lot better than the dive appearance would make you think. Even so, with all the great restaurants in the area I’ll probably never be back.

Nice little hole-in-the-wall to swing through for a drink. Bartender was friendly and attentive. Tasty beers on tap. What’s not to like?

One of my favorite late night stops! Dave and Danny behind the bar are pretty awesome hosts, especially if Danny is playing the video /soundtrack for The Last Waltz concert(ask him to break out the wiffle ball bat air guitar). They offer food late night which is great(I believe until at least midnight, if not 2a /close). Typically a great crowd of locals.

OK, I need to update this place since I’ve been coming here more after my first visit. The food here is always solid and better than your average bar food. They have specials daily and their pizzas are a standout. French Dip is one of my favs. Bartenders is hands down the best place to watch the O’s game outside of the Yard. The fans get into it. The staff gets into it. Boh’s are $ 1 during the game and you get to hear Oriole Magic on the stereo for every RBI. It’s a fun time. O-R-I-O-L-E-S! Holler at it, Hon!
