Lunch time treat for a friend’s birthday yesterday. Was a little hesistant about«slow service» reviews. I had a 12:15 reservation, the place was packed. We were seated immediately. Our server was SUPERFAST and he was rocking a lot of tables. The food was good — pesto pasta. Down side as noted in prior reviews — yes this place is LOUD. It would have been easier to chat with my friend if we had been seated outside, next to pratt street traffic!

I had the bistecca insalata which is quite good and heavy for a lettuce wedge salad. I found the chicken risotto a tad too salty. It is such a beautiful day today i opted to eat outside but being downtown Baltimore traffic was quite loud.

This is a nice location close to the convention center and a stones throw from the harbor. The restaurant space is quite large inside and there’s plenty of outdoor seating as well. The menu is decently sized with a good selection of pastas, entrée salads, meat and seafood. Price is also manageable with most being less than $ 20 and steaks being $ 25+. Lots of wines to choose from; they have a full bar; beer — bottles are import/domestic, and craft beers are at request only. I had the roasted bone-in half chicken with roasted vegetables and mashed potatoes. The chicken was perfectly cooked; juicy and tender breast meat and the skin was enhanced by lemons and a herb blend. There was enough jus to dip your chicken morsels and roasted veges. There was no gravy for the potatoes but that was fine. Although this was fine dining, whenever you serve bone-in anything, eating with your fingers is welcomed in my mind! Anyway, I ate the whole thing with no meat left on the bones. Didn’t opt for anything else as I was pretty satisfied.

I’m sitting at the bar for my dinner, let me start with the bartender is really nice to me. However, I am surrounded by fruit flies, one of which I scraped out of my drink, the bar top is a complete mess with fruit sitting out for hours, a box of pellegrino sitting on back bar, a drink mix that I’m positive should be in the cooler, silverware sitting out in a sorter with napkins across the top, trays of glassware sitting next to me, while servers come and go complaining about how much money they are making, and how their shift is about to end, the hostess eating her shift meal behind the host stand… etc. my food was great, but the atmosphere is awful. To make matters worse the TV in front of me is turned off. This is the bar area and your tv isn’t even on. I know everyone says they are«in the industry» but I used to manage a restaurant for many years and I can tell you the members at corporate of Brio did not envision this as the experience they want their guests to have.

Arrived here to get a quick bite to eat before our flight and boy did we regret not checking the reviews. Everyone’s account of it being slow is pretty accurate. We were seated immediately and noticed it was pretty slow during brunch time hours so we thought it was a great sign in dining here before our flight. Glanced at the menu and places our orders right away. The servers are really friendly here, but take a long time to bring your drinks, the complimentary bread, your meals, and the check. My coffee did not arrive until midway of finishing my meal(assuming they forgot). Food was average and nothing special to rave about. My order or stuffed French toast was pretty much 2 piece of French toast thrown together with cream cheese heavily slabbed between the two.

Was at a convention in the area this past weekend and the group I was with decided to hit this place. Hadn’t been there before and it looked good, so I took a shot. Glad we did: this was a great part of the evening and between the food and the ambiance it helped perk up a good day. The berry lemonade(sorry, didn’t feel like drinking that night) was perky and hit the spot. The calamari was probably some of the best I’ve had in a long, long time, and the Carbonara Campanelle is highly recommended. Would’ve gotten dessert, but would have had to waddle back to the hotel, so that was a no-go Will definitely hit this place again once we’re back in town.

I dine out frequently, and is by all accounts is the worst restaurant I have ever eaten at. Service was slow, and unprofessional. The order was mixed up. Then there was the food. Over salted, artificial tasting junk. Avoid this place at all costs.

A wonderful, welcoming environment with food that is to die for! My family stumbled across this place while wandering around Inner Harbor. I was pleasantly surprised. This fine restaurant is has well-priced, classy food with generous portions. Everything on the menu sounded amazing and the server was more than happy to provide recommendations. My Pesto Pasta was I tried bites of my families plates which were all also delicious. My family is already trying to figure out what day during the rest of our vacation we can get back here

Very good food but unfortunately the service got worse. We waited for the check to be paid off for 40min, with our next table facing he same problem. And guess what then the next table got the wrong credit card back which belonged to us!!! With no bill on there! Be careful with the managing side of this restaurant

Food was very good. I ordered the pesto chicken quinoa salad and it was delicious. Friend ordered the spicy chicken and bacon panini and it was yummy too. The waitress was pleasant and took our tables order correctly. Interior was beautiful and bread was fresh out of the oven! They also allowed us to split the checks individually for a party of 6!

Had Easter brunch there with family. Beautiful décor with big window looking at Baltimore’s Inner Harbor. Loved the Mediterranean Shrimp. My husband was disappointed with the steak salad. Out waiter could not have been nicer!

Probably more of a 3.5 rating(truthfully though I’m not a huge fan of chain restaurants). I ended up here after having a hard time finding a location to eat that wasn’t packed(there was a major event happening so it was crazy). I was able to grab a seat at the bar and I had a decent meal(a wedge salad and chicken & sweet potato risotto). I’m sure the meal quality is consistent here so if you are looking for a place where you know the food is reliable, this is probably it. The two big bonuses of this place– cheap cocktails(between 7 – 9 $ which in my world is happy hour pricing) and the kind servers behind the bar. Because it was so packed, there were several people who were impatient and complaining right behind me. People really just need to learn to be patient. They were unnecessarily rude but the servers were overly accommodating to them. When I was leaving, the bartender said«I appreciate you.» To him– I so appreciate you too.

I was part of a larger party(15 or so) on a Tuesday at 1PM. The crowd was steady; however, there were open tables. After seating our entire party, it took over 30 minutes for someone to come and take a drink order. After that, it took another 15 minutes for the drinks to make it back to the tables. Needed less to say, the service was very slow. The servers changed throughout the meal. I have read other reviews commenting on the slow service at Brio. Maybe something should be done by management? Just a thought. In all transparency, when the food came it was amazing.

I’ve been a patron of Brio since they opened a few years ago(before they started offering alcohol as part of their happy hour specials). It’s always my go-to place after work especially when the weather is nice, as it was yesterday. I ordered a cocktail and a the shrimp and eggplant appetizer. I had literally taken one bite after my server sat it in front of me and saw two very prominent strands of hair in my food. I was very confused that this wasn’t noticed before it was brought out. I even thought maybe it was my own but I knew due to the color, length and texture it could not have been mine, nor was it possible for my hair to get embedded in this dish a mere few seconds after it was sat in front of me. I promptly brought my plate to the attention of an employee and I was approached by who I believed to be a manager. I explained the situation and even started by giving them the benefit of the doubt that I thought the hair was my own at first, the manager says«Probably» which I had to correct him and say that it could not have been my hair. He was apologetic and they returned the dish to the kitchen. Another employee or manager came out to apologize and offered no solution to remedy the situation. I thought for sure I would be comped but we will get to that later. The plate returned shortly afterwards and maybe it was my own paranoia, but I am almost certain it was the exact same dish as before and likely sat under a heat lamp. It just did not look fresh and the temperature was not as hot as before. I get the bill and of course I was charged for it. I didn’t bring it up with my server because it always makes me uncomfortable demanding to be comped. By not offering any compensation Brio showed they are a restaurant lacking quality customer service.

I hate to give such a low rating but it’s warranted!!! Some friends and I came here this past week to participate in the Restaurant Week special(3 course meal for $ 20). Although we had a reservation, we had to wait about 20 minutes before we could be seated. The server spoke in a low voice and it was very hard hearing him. This is only the beginning… We mentioned right away that we wanted to do the Restaurant Week deal. He proceeded to tell us that we missed it and it ended an hour ago! Come again?! We pulled out our phones and showed him that Brio Tuscan Grille in Baltimore was listed as a participating restaurant for Restaurant Week. Well what really happened was that they ran out of the Salmon Fresca(one of the three entrees being offered) and decided that since that one item was no longer available, the entire Restaurant Week deal was off the table! We inquired about the other items we saw and he went to check with the manager. He returned letting us know that we could do Restaurant week after all. I noticed that we never received any bread! Other tables did and at other Brio locations I’ve been to, I’ve gotten bread. Maybe it was because we were doing Restaurant Week? I left it alone and didn’t bother bringing it up. We proceeded with our evening. We placed our orders — most of our party took part in the remaining Restaurant Week choices and some others just ordered off the regular menu. After what seemed like an eternity, our food finally came out. Well not all of us! One individual in our party did not get his meal. The server did not really offer an apology — just mumbled that he would go check on it. We set a timer to gauge how long it would take for his meal to come out. After 15 minutes went by, we asked to see a manager. Right away, the manager came over and asked what happened. He did apologize and ensured that his meal would be comp’d. After most of us were just about finished eating, the missing meal finally appeared. We were also waiting for some time before our waters got re-filled. Eventually we got more water. Well the evening is winding down. Most of us at this point weren’t in the best spirits due to the horrible service. We got our individual checks and immediately I noticed it was $ 26.50(I only had water — didn’t order a beverage). Ok maybe they included automatic gratuity? Nope, that wasn’t it. They charged us $ 25 for Restaurant Week when online they advertised $ 20! I did not like that, but whatever at this point. We just wanted to get out of this horrible place and put this night behind us! So the meal that the manager promised to comp was not. The server was told right away and his response«why is your meal being comp’d?»(VERYUNPROFESSIONAL). The proper response would have been for him to say«let me verify with my manager.» Speaking of the manager, I didn’t like that he never came back to check up on how things went with our party. I could say at least the food was decent — mine wasn’t hot, only the plate it was in was hot, but I ate most of it anyway. Overall, the entire experience was horrible and I definitely will not be returning to this Brio location.

Impromtu change change in plans for happy hour. My friends and I wanted to visit another place however their happy hour ended to early, instead we thought we would check this place out because of the awesome deal they had, best idea ever! Not to mention we came by on the perfect day, they have a special on their martini’s but only on wednesdays and it is something you don’t want to miss! The food specials are super cheap for happy hour as well and oh so deliecious! I got the margahrita flatbread as my entry, my friends and I shared the spinach and artichoke dip along with the tuscan tots as appitizers. I would highly, highly recommend the tuscan tots, so good with just the right kick to make your taste buds fill with warmth and excitment. On thing to note is, special’s are only avaliable at the bar. They do however have a some round tables in the bar area, when you have a group of friends that your going out with its always nice to sit at the table, making conversation easier. The resturant is very clean and the décor is beautiful. Staff are extremely polite, making you feel like you are at high end resturant. I like to think of this place as an upscale Olive Garden with fresher ingredients and a higher end expierince without leaving a hole in your pocket. Look forward to returning again for another happy hour!

The service at this Brio is generally great now. When it first opened, it took awhile for the service to be acceptable. Some of the servers and bartenders can still have attitudes though, which is strange for a place that really needs business. Anyway, the Brio all-stars are the diavlo sauce, lobster bisque, and the steaks. The happy hour has really great prices on appetizers and drinks. Beautiful location.

I got my eye on Brio every since I laid eyes on the outdoor/patio dining seating. The al fresco smell of the bay water in the historical charming city of Baltimore lured me into Brio with open arms. I feel that I have found my lost sibling and took me to try Brio’s tuscany food. Our server was well mannered and attentive(super). We are foodie/diners with curiosity and thus, a mouth of questions about what is this and how is that food. If you know your food, we can talk. Being that it is in the city, I was secretly informed by the Annapolis branch manager that the way to Brio’s food is to park at the back of the restaurant’s parking lot. Brio’s Baltimore will give you a discount on parking; so ask for that.

Located on pratt street right across the street from the inner harbor the brio is a cute restaurant to have a quick bite for lunch a longer dinner and I heard there happy hour deals are awesome The inside of this restaurant is bright and spacious and the bar has ample seating. In terms of décor think cheesecake factory but toned down. I sat outside today since the humidity finally calmed down. It wss nice with the breeze and the umbrellas keep the sun away. There was a horn player on the street so that provided nice back ground noise to cover the traffic and people milling about on the other side of fhe fence. Our waiter was so nice and attentive without hovering or making us feel rushed and he made sure our meal went by at a nice pace. My friend had the steak salad and out waiter handled the multiple substutions with grace and when his salad came he didnt need to send it back it was just as ordered. I had the pesto pasta from their lighter fare. They have a section of lower calorie options which was nice. The chicken was flavorful and the pesto wasnt over powering. It was a nice portion size for lunch i didnt feel heavy for the rest of the day. I really thought about getting another order on my way home for the day but the boo said thats over kill(i got cheesecake instead but thats neither here nor there lol) Besides the fact that this place is next door to my job ill definitely come back for happy hour. This is a great place especially considering its apart of an chain
