Love her snickerdoodle cheesecake cupcakes… So Delicioussss!

$ 1 cupcakes ALL day, who does that?! Cakes by Cynthia does!!! I LOVE her cupcakes, even had her cake at a birthday party & baby shower and it was delicious! Definitely worth the drive to get some delicious cupcakes or other sweet treats! I’m definitely a customer for life!

I saw screenshots (from Cynthia) on a blog that I follow and couldn’t believe it so I decided to check out her Facebook page, which proved that the screenshots did come from her. I felt that this needed to be shared. This gross generalization of EBT users is disgusting, prejudice, and sad. As a small business owner, customer service and word of mouth is everything. She’s obviously forgotten that.

These are the best cupcakes and cakes that I have ever had always so fresh and the selection is great! Snicker doodle is my favorite! I drive 20 miles one way for these cupcakes and they are always worth the trip

banana pudding and birthday cake are my favorites from here. I like the grandma chocolate as well… had to get them today bcus they did not have any b. puddings or birthday ones… I was so sad lol .I will try again this weekend probally

Wanted to visit several times before reviewing so I could give a well rounded assessment. First, the good… $ 1 fo a cupcake is a great deal these days! The Snickerduudle cupcake is pretty good, frosting is light and has just the right amount of flavor. Not much you can do wrong with a candy apple and Cynthia does not dissapoint. I also had a Red Velvet cupcake and it was pretty good as well. A nice variety of cupcake flavors to try over a number of visits.
Now, the not so good… when I had the lemon and strawberry both were noticeably dry, I’m guessing overcooked or stale. The frosting on those and the birthday cake was bland and didn’t have much flavor. I bought a brownie during another visit on a Monday. It was very dry and crumbled more like a cookie than a brownie when I bit into it. I assume it was leftover from the weekend.
Next, the customer service is not the greatest. One time, it was downright bad. This day, I was excited to try the Snickerduudle cheesecake after seeing an IG post about them They were out of them when I arrived but Cynthia said they were putting some in the oven that they would be ready in an hour and a half. Feeling extra greedy, I told her I would wait in my car. After the time passed, I went back in but Cynthia was not there so I asked the female working the cash register about the cheesecakes. I explained that Cynthia said they would be ready by then and she snapped at me saying she had just put them in the oven 5 minutes prior. On my way out another customer suggested that I let Cynthia know about my exchange with the female because she was unnecessarily rude.
I was gonna give it one last try for the Snickerduddle pound cake but I ultimately decided against it. In a nutshell, even given the variety of flavors, the cupcakes are hit or miss, service wasn’t good, and I’ve consistently had better baked goods from a number of other local bakers. The 2 stars I am giving are for the price and for the Snickerduudle cupcake which was always good… when they had them. May try them again in a year or 2 if they’re still around.

The absolute best! In a land full of overpriced cupcakes, this place not only serves cupcakes at a great price, but the taste is unbelievably good. Excellent customer service and the flavor selections are equally just as dynamic! Cynthia (the owner) has been present the past few times i have gone and is always welcoming and greets customers as family. She has even begun to embark on offering non cupcake selections, such as sandwhiches and seafood mac n cheese, that I cant wait to sink my teeth into! Bottom line. great place!

I stopped by the Bakery on Sunday 11÷9÷14, had a sweet tooth after church. I always get the Oreo cupcake, because I love them, but decided to try the Grandma Chocolate, I was so pissed off, that I only bought one, it was so good, my sister was licking the chocolate out of the container, Oh I bought a candy apple too, it was the best.

I REALLY wanted to like this place. Recently, the owner has made the cupcakes $ 1 each permanently. I followed the company on Instagram and decided to finally take the drive to the bakery one Sunday to try these cupcakes that all of the locals on Instagram raved about. I was terribly disappointed and will probably not ever return. These cupcakes were just NOT good. Were they fresh? Sure. Reasonably priced? DEFINITELY… but good?.. Not at all.
I ordered a ½ dozen since you needed to spend $ 6 to use a debit/​credit card. Of those six, I threw 4 of them out. I ordered the salted caramel, lemon drop, black bottom, red velvet, and an oreo .I could have made them myself… and better. I’m not a fan of icing in general, but those who make GREAT cupcakes also make GREAT icing, and that simply was not the case here. The icing for all of the flavors was what I presume was buttercream, but the consistency was off. almost gelatinous. To make matters worse, there was no flavor for the icing at all. The lemon icing was yellow, but it surely didn’t taste like lemon. The best flavor was the salted caramel b/​c there were traces of rum flavoring in it, otherwise it was just okay. (these were the only two that I ate). The cake itself wasn’t bad. It was moist, but the batter didn’t have anything special in it. It just tasted like normal boxed cake.
I was very disappointed. Boy am I glad that they were only $ 1 b/​c I can’t imagine having paid more for them. :(
They also make mini cheesecakes here and since cheesecake is my fave dessert, I may stop by if in the area in the future to try those out. But I will never purchase normal cake/​cupcakes from here again.
