Excellent. You can’t go wrong with a bacon shell taco. The staff was really friendly and all of the food looked great. Can’t wait to try again.

The presentation of this food truck is pretty appealing in its own right. It attracted my attention right away and the cooks look legit and professional. They had all the specs I expect to see from a decent truck and they took card which is huge for me cuz I hate carrying cash. Staff seemed nice enough and didnt take forever(I was the only one there at the time mind you). The only problem I guess is what I ordered did not come out looking the best. It was pretty simple to me but maybe«Gourmet» is not meant to do simple. I just asked for their chicken tenders that came with some fries. They were quick about it but the tenders looked over cooked and whatever these fries were suppposed to be did not come out looking to good either. ther were super skinny and over fried so that everytime I grabbed for them they crumbled up and all I had left in my hand was grease. Still ate the tenders. I just wish they couldve done a better job on something I figured was simple and I was only one so they had ample time to get it right. But maybe I’ll give them another chance sometime. Guess I gotta pick something thats a little more Gourmet and I’m sure they’ll get it right.

Had the blue crab tostada and it was pretty tasty! The two sauces were more creamy than spicy(to my happy surprise) and the crab was very fresh. The torillas were a little greasy but I guess that’s to be expected of anything that’s fried on a truck. Cost $ 9 with tax but was a good portion for me — I ate the whole thing(which I don’t often do in one sitting). I don’t eat pork but their pulled pork sandwich smelled great(a few folks around me ordered it). What’s also cool is that they have a TV screen that continuously displays images of the menu items. Overall I was pretty happy!

(08/21/2012) Love food on trucks. We’ve been missing the truck love over the last several months since the DLLR building vendor site was abandonded by Kooper’s and Grrche. Glad to see a few new trucks come a-visiting. Lots of great things from the Charm City Gourmet truck, kind of all over the place(Lobster Roll, Falafel, Schwarma, Firecracker Shrimp, etc.). Just because it’s on the menu, had to try the Bacon Shell Taco(with pulled chicken, shredded iceberg, pico de gallo, red onion, jalapeño, guacamole). The produce was fresh. As awesome as it sounds, a taco shell made out of bacon really is excessive(and that’s something I never thought I’d say). The whole thing was just way too salty, the bacon shell gets soggy and kind of chewy, and it’s basically a colon-stopping amount of protein. While it was a little pricey, and portion was on the small side, ingredients were high quality and dishes were ambitious. Still, really looking forward to trying many other things, hope they keep on trucking(on over to our place).
